@ericweinstein Eric, You need to shed this “permission” mentality. It is a thru line in much of your commentary. Folks like Elon don’t seek invitations. You have too much to offer to spent time waiting around. With respect.
@LaurelPfahler@stenten I often hear coaches and players say how much they appreciate and value the fans.
What seems to be getting lost is that reporters are proxies for those fans.
Thus, limitations on reporters' access ultimately limit the access of the fans they claim to value.
.@LaurelPfahler you asked for feedback on these player interviews. I'd rank them just behind the player profiles you produce regularly, which are always exceptional. For me, these are the two biggest values for my subscription! I would add that interviews don't need to be limited to just players. Would also welcome long form interviews with any of the coaches or Chris Albright, if that is ever possible. Would love to hear more how they think about the game, their jobs, etc.
@NinoOne Yup almost always about choosing trade-offs.
Some in the media could be understood as saying this is a silver bullet. Bogart’s original post an example.
I’m for the change, but like many things, it is necessary but not sufficient.
It's positive, but not complete. Impact in transfer market will be limited if roster rules don't relax to increase spend
+ One CSO pointed out MLS clubs will now be out of sync South American leagues. Brazil has big spending power and has recruited more from MLS clubs lately
@mattvanswol It's inherent. Republicans principles include individual liberty and freedom. Democratic principles include collective "good" and "equity" in outcomes.
Republicans much more likely to embrace individual thought and action. Not a herd mentality or conformity.
Focus on *what* she wants to do. *How* she goes about it is opaque right now because it is so far in the future. It will emerge.
Still save up the "college fund". Maybe it's used for college then, maybe not. The thing is, saving the money really isn't about college. It's about having options.
