@nqatpod What can be more organic than a song written by a local fan, about the local area, that fans started recording during gigs to launch a fan-led campaign convincing the club to give it a go?
@Bajones06427851@KirstieMAllsopp@Keir_Starmer If your business is not able to function without paying exploitative wages, then it is no more a viable business than if it couldnโt afford any of the other costs you list.
@irishkazza@csanders578@KirstieMAllsopp@Keir_Starmer Paying an adult less than ยฃ10 an hour is absolutely exploitation. Which is why itโs banned. No one is saying they should earn as much as someone in the peak of a successful career, unless you think those people should be on ยฃ10 an hour too.
@irishkazza@csanders578@KirstieMAllsopp@Keir_Starmer I am not a business. But if I was only able to afford my home because I was exploiting someone else to make it affordable, then that wouldn't be acceptable either.
@squid1251@Haitch7@KirstieMAllsopp@Keir_Starmer I'm in my 40s and have been working since I was 19. Thinking working people shouldn't be exploited does not mean they shouldn't work. People who can work and have the opportunity should work, and they should be suitably paid for their time and effort.
@squid1251@Haitch7@KirstieMAllsopp@Keir_Starmer Well no, because 16-17 year olds have a minimum wage of ยฃ7.55, which will rise to ยฃ8. It is ยฃ10 (rising to ยฃ10.85) for 18-20 year olds. If your son's workplace is paying him ยฃ2.45 an hour more than they "have to", then no wonder he is feeling positive about his experience.
