@Det_Stabler_SVU@VinesMatthew Nice “I’m rubber you’re glue” argument. Very impressive. The rise of authoritarian populism over the last 10 years is well-documented, so, one point down. And the author is making this argument without proving the chain. At least my theory has historical precedence.
@VinesMatthew And, well, the undeniable reality that since 2009, more and more people have been taken by memetic hate content. Millions of Americans are totally captured by content creators that are experts at getting their points to stick, however illogical or cruel. It’s a different world.
@VinesMatthew I think it is much more likely that the global rise in authoritarianism brought with it increased animus against LGBT people. That is grounded in precedent, unlike your theory, which blames the victims of that animus for using imprecise language to describe a complex identity.
Georgia Voter: It's giving war crime. You can't do that. We don't just annihilate people because we can and, you know, make a grab for the money and the oil. And that's what we've done in Venezuela. And that's what we're doing in Iran.
@FarlanderX77@ProfRobAnderson@AndrewYang FACE is about stopping worship through force or obstruction. He didn’t do that, he documented something that was already happening. Reporting isn’t participation, which is why the magistrate denied the arrest warrant to begin with. Check back in a few months fren.
@BigJayRobertson@ProfRobAnderson@AndrewYang Hit me back up in a few months when the charges are dropped. Going into a place that invites the public and asking questions is not and never will be a criminal offense, particularly when there is a media-worthy story unfolding at the same time in the same place.
@JenniferJJacobs@CommunityNotes The post is false because it mischaracterizes the court’s holding. All 3 judges found no legal basis for the arrest warrants. One dissented on probable cause, but that view is not the court’s holding or majority opinion.
