We didn’t just get warm… we skipped spring and went right into SUMMER! Several locations either tied or broke record highs for this date...

Here’s a breakdown:
Coalmont: 84° (Old record: 76° in 2017)
Lynchburg: 84° (Old record: 83° in 2017)
Sewanee: 84° (Old record: 83° in 1907)
Shelbyville: 84° (Old record: 80° in 1991)
Spring Hill: 88° (Old record: 85° in 2017)
Winchester: 84° (Old record: 79° in 1991)

This kind of warmth is being driven by a strong ridge of high pressure parked over the southern U.S., allowing temperatures to soar well above normal for this time of year.

Critical reminders about generators from MTE, but apply to NES customers also. Generator backfeed is a life threatening problem to power crews. Backfed power isn’t just 120v, it goes through your transformer, which steps it up to many thousands of volts on the distribution lines.
