And gender doesn't actually refer to the biological sex (of wich there are also more then two) by it's definition. Gender isn't used as an accessory but to describe who someone is

Especially considering how it is commonly thought that alot of construction workers and soldiers are often either gay or bi, as well as the evolutionary purpose for queer people
