The fire did not extend to the house, but an exterior deck received some fire damage. Total dollar amount loss is close to $100,000. No one was injured and the cause is still under investigation.
WVCFD crews knocked down a garage fire late tonight. The fire started in a detached garage near 5020 West and Lotus Blossom Drive. Three vehicles, industrial equipment, and tools were in the garage, which is a total loss.
Investigators are interviewing the driver and working to notify families of the three adult men who died. Check here for any other updates on this case.
Around lunchtime, the driver had stopped at his own home and went inside, leaving the three men inside the running vehicle. The driver reports returning to the vehicle 1-2 hours later, finding all three men deceased.
The driver of that vehicle is an employee of a service that provides transportation for disabled adults and had been transporting the three men from three different assisted living facilities.
Around 2pm on 2-6-26, officers responded to a call of three people who were not conscious or breathing at 2730 S High Park Way.
Three adult men were found deceased after being left in a running vehicle.

18 units from West Valley City Fire, South Salt Lake Fire, Unified Fire, and Salt Lake City Fire responded. The grassfire threatened 7 structures and 20 trailers, but no loss or damage from the fire was reported besides some cut fences.
The grass fire near 2280 South Constitution Boulevard is under control, due to quick actions from firefighters. The fire was approximately 6 acres, and wind was a factor in spreading the flames.
A large fire involving multiple vehicles and small structures broke out this afternoon in a backyard near 3591 South 3270 West. The flames broke a window to a home. The fire is out and we are checking hotspots. No one was injured and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

@WVCFD responded, with assistance from Unified Fire to a structure fire at 6935 W Arlene Bonnie Dr just before 2pm today. On arrival, heavy fire was observed at the house with 3 cars involved. The fire was quickly knocked down. Currently overhauling.
We were dispatched just after 6pm yesterday to a vehicle vs building. No injuries. It took collaboration with our Hazmat Team, Tech Rescue Team, Building Inspector, & the Enbridge Gas Company to safely remove the vehicle from the building. The apartment was deemed uninhabitable.
30 firefighters from WVC, Unified, West Jordan, and SLC responded to an overnight house fire. 2 dogs were found alive in the house; another was found outside. All were reunited with their owner. There were no injuries to residents or firefighters. The home is a complete loss.
