Competing at the college level has assisted me tremendously beyond the field. It has given me the ability to translate and transfer the skills I learned (discipline, perseverance, integrity, etc.) into every day life.
This journey of entrepreneurship has been very tough, especially these last few weeks.
From having to turn down clients, to not having the resources to complete my own ventures. It feels like 2 steps forward, 3 steps back.
But still I persevere, knowing that my time is soon.
Nobody STARTS with a passion. Passion is developed.
It starts with interest and is only developed through intense and prolonged engagement.
There's no passion without utility, and there's no utility without mastery.
You can have obsession without mastery, but not passion.
In my journey of entrepreneurship, I've learned that the most important thing to master is your mindset. If you can not mentally overcome adversity, you will not achieve success!
Get use to the fact that people are going to turn their back on you. Itโs just human nature. Donโt let others decisions effect who you are. Continue striving for excellence and greatness. Once success hits just remind them to keep that same energy.
Our paths to our goals have been far from traditional, and the adversity we've faced/ facing has been more than most know. But always remember, when we reach what we've defined as success, it'll all be worth it!
I love you brudda ๐๐ดโ๐พ @WesleyG21778770,
Going to work on making my social media less of a highlight reel and more of a platform for people to see the daily and real life struggles of a young, black entrepreneur. Because the reality is that, with the ups there are also downs. Authenticity is my goal!
