@NintyPrime It sounded like you said that Yuzu is piracy even though its not itself. Also people can still have opinions on a game, even so far, regardless if they pay or got it "wrong" via piracy. I say this because you acting like person's opinion is objectively invalid just because of it.

@helathegame @Microids_off I am honestly really disappointed that Switch 2 isnt getting an actual physical release. This game looked special but now I lost interest. I really hope you guys reconsider or at least do a special true physical edition for Switch 2 someday.

@kamzigi The problem with transformative fair use, parody, review, backing up your software copy, pirating 60 year old software not sold, some more that isnt hurting anyone is that it's copying without permission or technical copyright infringement and therefore it's all wrong. /s

@kumasnore Artists also don't consent millions of people copying some of their art for standard fair use practices either. It a fallacy to argue that copy consent all of a sudden becomes black and white for the sake of it the moment it's a special robot for reasons. Just saying.

@ValephoreVT Don't know if you will respond, but were you trying to say that even though the person was fueling a bad tool, that we shouldn't call human made art in the after fact itself a "waste" or "tainted" just because the idea came from it and 'effected' them to make real human made art?

@elvenmaidinn I think using current genAI might be bad because it might be fueling it aiding those who uses it to replace artist but I think some telling artists that their own effort and hard work is a waste in the after fact of finding the idea from the tool is unethical and wrong.

@awesomesonixo @arvalis @KissMyStern @elvenmaidinn Not trying to flat out defend using cur genAI tool but this is a normalization of trying to go after real artists in the AFTER fact of something that may not been good. It's like telling an artist that their entire series is waste because it got an idea from a pirated copy.

@awesomesonixo @arvalis @KissMyStern @elvenmaidinn The biggest problem with arvalis's argument here is that he's arguing that human creativity, with its own effort should suddenly be shunned, treated as a waste, just because of where the idea behind it orientated, this is 100% unethical and not ok and should not be normalized.

This is the same as saying that redrawing an idea you learn from transformative fair use or from looking at a normal (c) picture, you are using the (c) picture in the end no matter how original your hand drawn result is.

Digital learning (common) is already less real than RL.

Even copyright purpose allowed some cases of use without permission so regardless, the usage of certain art always mattered on how it's used. Using ai for an idea = same as artist remembering c art.

@splattwtescapee @BringBackBanjoK @NintyPrime That's like saying not being able to mod Minecraft alone benefits the normal player who dont because it makes it harder for cheaters to cheat online. It's not really a fair argument as dumping certain games itself isn't the fault of who chose to create those issues separately.

@TheBrianMcCoy @BringBackBanjoK @NintyPrime Hacking the system isn't what caused the bad apples to spoil the games. It was the people choosing to spoil the games alone. I don't know why cutting the entire apple tree down because of some bad apples is ridiculously accepted here. It sets a major bad idea here.
