Ah, ESPN trying to make Tennessee out to be evil yet again. Glad they nefariously looked at the video just to find out that it wasn't us this time. We need those good vibes for when Kiffin comes back this fall.
Someone I know who is having surgery was recently forced to pay $1250 by 5pm today or her surgery would be pushed back 2-3 months. Could NOT wait until Tuesday...FOUR DAYS. Medical industry doesn't care about making anyone better, they just want money. That does incredible HARM.
My MD wrote a prescription he believes I need. He sent it to a local Walgreen’s to be filled.
After a delay of one week Walgreen’s notified me the cost will be $409.81 and that insurance doesn’t cover it. I said “try again”.
Another week passed and I went to Walgreens and asked why the delay? They said the insurance company sent a request to my MD asking for explanation.
Tired of waiting I said “okay I’ll pay cash. How much was it?”
After punching on the keyboard the clerk said $398.16. I pulled a printed coupon out of my pocket and said “….here’s a coupon from Walgreens that says the price is $13.86.”
I paid Walgreen’s $13.86 for a prescription Walgreen’s told me would cost $409.81.
I don’t know who is more screwed up, Walgreen’s or the pharma company that made the pills, or the insurance company that wouldn’t pay. But this crap is downright criminal.
7th consecutive year that @CommVT has had a student broadcaster recognized in the annual Jim Nantz Award program.
Congrats to @BillRoth2020 and the SMA team!
@mikejoy500 I couldn't help but be reminded when Samantha and the kids were standing there about Liz Allison all the way back in 1993 at Talladega. And just as you said...we go back to the track to repair ourselves. I can think of countless examples. NASCAR always does these things right.
Don't really care if the man's birthday was yesterday or 300 days ago. I'll always re-post (I really miss retweets) his call from the World Series. Great stuff from a great broadcaster, and I hope his birthday was wonderful.
The self-congratulatory propaganda spots from the NCAA this time of year make my head hurt. They only do what they do because law requires it. And their lawyers made millions in the process. Otherwise it would be "wrong" to help a player in distress get home in an emergency.
Watching Long Gone Summer and Chip Caray's story about looking into the Cardinals radio booth and seeing Jack Buck with tears running down his face when McGwire hit #62 is wonderful. I know I've heard it before, but wow. I'm in good company breaking up for record breakers.
Fantastic news! I’ve listened to @BobbyRaderRadio since the scoreboard show when I was in high school. When I returned to @sehspatriots to call football, there’s Bobby at my 1st game. It was fun to meet him, but better to have his help that night and ever since. Congrats, Bobby!
@HailStateVoice Fantastic news! I listened to Bobby’s scoreboard on Friday nights in high school. My first broadcast @sehsfootball (my alma mater), there’s Bobby calling the game for David Crockett. I was nervous but so happy to meet him. He offered me his open if I needed it. One of the greats!
Justin Grimm came into Game 3 of the World Series in an *insanely* high leverage situation, and pitched his way out of it.
“I just remember my body, it had electricity going through it” ⚡️
