@FCPSMaryland Wx advisory was put in place yesterday and radar threatened well before sunset and not one MD school decided to be proactive to cancel. You should not have to wait until snow physically falls to make a decision. I am at least glad you did not do an early dismissal/chaos.

@MikeTFox5 I live 3.5 miles SW of Mt. Airy and I can definitely confirm straight line winds went through. Rain was blowing horizontally.
