Volume Profile Cheatsheet💯
- Volume Profile and VWAPs are the bread and butter of my trading strategy. Print this out if you're a beginner
- Trading using the Volume Profile is fairly easy and highly accurate if you combine it with basic price action. This indicator helps with identifying key levels of support and resistance, also the areas where the market is likely to react or most volume is traded
Below is every small detail you need to know to understand this indicator
- Point of Control (POC): The price level with the highest traded volume. Price usually reverts back to this at some point
- Value Area (VA): The price range where a significant percentage of volume (usually 70%) has been traded. It includes:
- Value Area High (VAH): The upper boundary.
- Value Area Low (VAL): The lower boundary.
- HVNs: Areas with high trading activity; these can act as support/resistance.
- LVNs: Areas with low trading activity; price often moves quickly through these levels due to low volume being traded at these points.
Advice: Create a very small perp account to backtest this strategy, look for buys at the value area low and sells at the value area high. If price starts to reject at the POC, it usually signals a reversal back to the value area low and vice versa.
Happy Trading.
Power Of Three
Pretty useful price action pattern that often marks the macro tops and bottoms and also is accurate on lower timeframes
As the name suggests, it has 3 main components:🧵
Alts to keep an eye on:
(these are some I caught some longs on confluence with sub-90k BTC and will also try to take momentum longs on in the next 10-15 days)
$XRP - Strongest major on the market with major narratives such as bank partnerships and possible ETF approval under Trump administration and new SEC leadership
$COW - Low Mcap coin which has exhibited strength + MM games in recent times and swap of choice for Trump admin
$FARTCOIN - maximum mindshare amongst AI meta which is the only meme sector to pay attention to on perps at least. Caught bottom entries yesterday and shared on my TG after large drawdown post ATH
$VIRTUAL - Infra play but same meta and logic as FARTCOIN
$LDO - Only coin I’ve held my entire spot stack on. Likely to benefit the most in a post-Gensler SEC mandate. Resolve case + staking ETF make it the top beneficiary of inauguration. Long and strong since $0.85 (check previous posts for details)
Was able to snipe bottom entries on some and have partials running, will be looking to compound and catch momentum longs on others if we get some sort of BTC pullback before 20th
My bias for Q1 is select altcoin sectors to have narrative and news driven runs while BTC primarily ranges and eventually gives us a deeper pullback. For now, these will be the coins that will remain my major picks
like/comment below if you want a chart based thread for my picks as well. Have focused most of my charting on BTC and SPX as I’ve been refining my edge in scalping there. However, the time to maximise R:R likely remains with alts for the entirety of Q1-2
