One of our own @leiaxrosee (Warrington’s DMYP) is attending the annual conference for MYP’s this weekend in Hull University. This is a chance for MYP’s all over the UK to come together and decide on what goes into the MYP manifesto for the year. It’s lovely to see her having fun!
the first day of #ukyp22 has been so fun, met so many new people and honestly can’t wait for the rest of the weekend! i love hearing what everyone has to say and i am buzzing for the big debate tomorrow!!
Yesterday, we attended the April Youthforia event with @YouthFocusNW. The focus this time was on BSL awareness and healthy ways to deal with exam stress. It was lovely to meet more people from youth groups all over the NW. Thank you to everyone involved for a wonderful day!
It was an absolute pleasure for members of Impact so speak to shops in @GoldenSquareUK about putting up our new body image poster in fitting rooms and elsewhere; thanks for all the engagement!
Last night we discussed some of our anxieties returning to school so we produced these resources answering some of our concerns/questions and shared them on all our social media profiles - here are a few examples! #schoolsreopening#coronavirusuk#mentalhealth#Warrington
Great for our MYP @adham_myp to get a chance to chat with @charlotte2153 and @CllrRussBowden about Warrington’s vaccine effort at the Halliwell Jones Stadium today during their visit; had a chat about Charlotte’s introduction to politics which was just fab to listen to!
Let’s fight the bug with @eBug_UK - such a fantastic resource for all ages and will help us get through #COVID19@wycimpact @youth_cabinet @paulaworthy @AmandaAmesbury @CllrMaureenMcL @CllrRussBowden

Last night, 06/11/20, we held our second Annual General Meeting! We were so pleased to welcome @WarringtonMayor - Newly appointed mayor Cllr Maureen Creaghan, @MattSmith062 - Cabinet Member for Children's Services at Warrington Council and @saferstaffings1 - Head of @MoveMENt_WA
Some ways young people discussed making a difference were the training of new staff, working with other areas to share projects and sharing ideas in general
Young people stated that some key skills they think they need as they become adults are a "good support network", "to be confident" and "to have good relationships with other adults"
