Hop waste mulch added to the new Junami and Sunburst orchard. Brilliant for three reasons: 1. Increases worms/improves soil; 2. Suppresses weeds/reduces herbicides; 3. Reduces evaporation. This best practice is what new ELMS schemes should encourage.

Red Windsor apples looking gorgeous. Harvest starts in last week of August so plenty of time to reach the perfect size. Sweet, tart, complex, crispy, delicious! And very very British.
