@sarah_go_green I have only fast charged 3 times in the 2.5 years I have had my EV. On that occasion we stopped for food. I under estimated the speed of charge - only really wanted 10kWh to get home but ended up putting 30kWh into the battery. Rarely would you stop JUST to charge. 🚽+🍔+☕️
@Prochilles@Starlink The camera is stabilised so that the raft doesn’t need to be. The crew out in the recovery zone talked about 10ft (3m) waves in the area so nothing is going to stabilise a raft in seas like that.
@IrrefutableV@Jaffro14@SpaceX It may not yet have achieved full orbit (and, for the record, this is because they haven’t yet attempted it) but they are not throwing away billions of 💵 of rocket each time they launch. At the moment they are scrapping millions but soon they will re-use the whole lot!!
@TheEXECUTlONER_ In the UK this would exactly follow the rules of the Highway Code. Drive to the restriction then merge in turn. The cars pulling into his path are dangerous idiots and shouldn’t be on the road. Not sure what the rules are in the country in this vid though.
@petersharding@neso_energy The price of the electricity was set to be the cost of producing electricity with gas. It isn’t just a straight 1kWh of gas gives 1kWh of electricity. Just think how much it costs to keep a gas power station running just to top-up the grid!!
Interesting statement from @RACUKRBLX about buying used EVs. Why would the performance of a petrol or diesel car not degrade over time as components start to wear? It may be less noticeable as the fuel tank remains the same size but…
@TechWorldInnov8@LoftusSteve@OctopusEnergy@grok Thanks for the clarity here. That wasn’t what my email from Octopus said but it is great news. I love to be corrected when it is in my favour!!
@TechWorldInnov8@LoftusSteve It may appear to work but it is only the charge to your car that will be at the low rate. Your house will be charged at the peak rate after 6 hours of charging within the 24 hour window.
