@EduardoHagn@lee_ryder@TomCantonMedia Yeah, given the 20% sell on fee, £65m wouldn’t even get his left boot. They’d make next to nothing for a player that is priceless for the Toon. That’s before you take into account the very bad optics. I see him getting a bumper new contract with the opt to go next yr
@chris_armin It is, but with confidence levels at an all time low, not a great deal of confidence it will be spent wisely on a good collection of players... and we need many. They now have a lot to prove to regain the trust of the fans!!
@agbnufc_@MagpieMediaX In fairness, this is his first summer transfer window for us. He has to prove himself but he at least deserves a fair crack of the whip before hanging him out to dry.
@NUFCLC@NUFC By now I'd normally have bought a new footy top... I think I'll be hanging back until one of two things happen... we actually buy some decent players... and, hopefully, the away tops are better than the home one!
@SkySportsPL He's a good player... or was a season or so ago. Last year he was awol. So, while it would have been nice to keep him, he's not £100m worth of player and if they spend it wisely, we should be in a better place.
@433@DiMarzio@JacobsBen I’m quite sure #NUFC asked for £100m… so no surprise £90m hasn’t been accepted…. Even if you stick a “Pretty Please” on the end of it.
@eurofootcom@DiMarzio Reported elsewhere as £90m and Newcastle not accepting it… still waiting for £100m. I’m expecting the next bid to be “£90m please”
@OllieTheParr@NufcBoyo@VillaTil1Die You mean, something like... "An Evening With Toon & Villa" charge rich Arabs £1m a ticket for an exhibition match... might even let them shake the hands of the players after... for an extra £500k... each 🤣
@REDRIOT_HQ@hotspurreports Yeah, poor sod, doesn't deserve that eh 🤣 But, I'd still take their £100m... but I have a feeling it maybe City who close the deal. Spurs are doing a Toon, taking a lifetime to finish it and allow another team to step in last minute.
@netrocyn@nufcfans We compete when we were at the bottom of the PL. Big clubs want ready to use players and can afford to pay the big price for them. Smaller pool of players as well. Up and coming is a far bigger pool and we're in a stronger position than a lot of the teams targeting that pool.
