@Polymarket My immediate thought was they're bringing them back to the EU at Europe's expense after the migrants were deported. This made sense and seemed likely.
@charlesmurray What are your thoughts on the SpaceX Starship program? From your book I found a lot of very striking similarities to how Apollo was run to how SpaceX is running their megaproject now. Even a lot of the personalities have analogs.
@GoPats15@jcm10x1 Not so much actually. Falcon manifest is already full and down a pad at 39A for Starship. There is no quick alternative for Leo. This will be a significant delay in deployment.
@rah_66_comanche Yeah this shows it pretty well. There's some dark material, perhaps the same ablative on the untiled sides of the ship placed there exactly because it gets red hot from the radiant heat of the exhaust.
There's the photo by SpaceX when the ship was lifted the first time at night, and some photographers got a couple more when the ship was lifted the second time in daylight. You can just make out the rivets attaching some kind of dark material similar to how the sheeting is attached to the dome. I strongly believe this material was disturbed by hot staging and is not structural damage.
It did not blow shrapnel into the skirt. The flash is shutdown. You can clearly see the engine is intact. If you are referring to the warped appearance of the skirt in the image spacex posted of engines firing, that is not the skirt structure but rather riveted on black thermal sheet material. You can also tell that is not damage from an engine explosion because the material is warped behind a functioning intact rvac. Furthermore, upon landing you can clearly see the skirt is not damaged or warped on the outside.
@hoplopfheil@KazePNW Acog with a piggyback enclosed little dot is peak. I have a t2 with an eotech magnifier and now its just more complicated and heavier.
@AZ_Intel_ Wait wait wait, they found a corpse in this guy's trailer with gunshots to the back and top of his head and then dropped the case against him over that? But the 14 words and molotovs sent him to prison?
