As part of the campaign leading up to International Yoga Day 2026, a special yoga session for Kolkata Police personnel was held today at the Police Athletic Club Grounds. Commissioner of Police, Kolkata, Shri Ajay Nand, IPS, Addl. CP (III), Shri Pandey Santosh, IPS, and other senior officers participated in the session, reaffirming the force's commitment to health and wellness.

Today's initiative aimed at instilling the ethos and practice of yoga among the personnel of Kolkata Police was further elevated by the esteemed presence of the Ld. Commissioner of Police. His august presence inspired the participants and reaffirmed the organization's commitment to holistic well-being and fitness.

This despite not having a fraction of the US military weapons, sensors or surveillance ability…

And in a furiously contested air space against near-peer PAF and its Chinese air defences…

Today, the inaugural Kolkata Police Women’s Friendship Cup Football Tournament concluded with a memorable closing ceremony at the Body Guard Lines.

Legendary German footballer Mr. Lothar Matthäus, captain of the 1990 World Champion team, graced the occasion as Chief Guest.

After a thrilling final, the teams were felicitated by Mr. Lothar Matthäus, Shri Manoj Kumar Verma, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Kolkata, and other senior officers.
