Friday the 13th: The New Blood (1988)
A Reddit user uncovered two previously unseen post-production VHS workprint tapes belonging to the film’s composer, Fred Mollin.
These tapes contain an early, uncensored version of the 1988 film before it was heavily cut by the MPAA to avoid an X rating.
They include alternate takes, an unreleased opening sequence, and far more brutal, graphic gore.
Unlike the heavily pixelated, grainy deleted scenes previously available on special edition home releases, clips shared from these newly discovered tapes show significantly cleaner, better video quality.
While the tapes have been digitized for safekeeping, legal agreements currently prevent the owner from hosting public screenings or officially distributing the uncut version.

@MossMystery@jameal5802 True but I only have so many words I can fit in a Twitter post. Functionally they’re similar enough, they go from a state of being alive to a state of not being alive.
@71stfrick Tenna also mentions the Knight in Chapter 3, despite Kris making the fountain. I think the theory stems from the fact that chapter 1 shares a LOT of elements with chapters 3 and 5, the fountains Kris made, and very little with chapters 2 and 4, the fountains the Knight made.
