Hola amigos 🚀 I'm thrilled to share a project I've been working on for the last few months: LifeScore Chronicles - a weekly newsletter on personal growth, productivity, and well-being. Here's a little story of the journey so far:
@invierte_joven@RubenFabri Literal. Un compañero de trabajo cobró su primera nómina en la startup donde trabajábamos en bitcoin (hablamos de 2016), a saber la rentabilidad que le habrá dado esa nómina hahaha
This is the wild story of how I made $1,036,175 during the COVID lockdowns by rapidly creating a new physical product in 7 days.
In April 2020, during the lockdowns I created 2 things that changed my life:
1. – I launched Shepherd (eventually renamed Somewhere[dot]com). 4 years later we sold it for $52,000,000.
2. – I created a new physical product that made us $1,036,175 in 60 days.
This is the untold story of #2.
This is an interesting take. I have two thoughts which swing the opposite way:
1. For me, writing can often be cathartic - it’s like releasing the steam on a pressure cooker. Thoughts have been rattling around in my head getting louder and louder but writing them down often exposes them as simpler than they appeared. Or it makes them deliciously clear and precise. Either way things are usually less intense after.
2. I might say that beyond ‘writing is thinking’, writing is a crucible for clearer thoughts. Specifically writing by hand. It’s slower than the thoughts in my mind - I have to corral the
racing thoughts and wrestle them into submission first, discover their nature, put in a tracker chip then release it back into the wild. Writing becomes a form of active processing that makes me slowly and intentionally step through painful and hollow places. Documenting them can help me come to terms with them.
3. Secret bonus reason. I don’t always go back and read what I wrote but occasionally I do, usually when the feelings have abated. Having woken from my drunken stupor and had breakfast, when I look back with a settled head at what I wrote when drunk in the heat of my passions, it’s easy to see in retrospect where I may have been the madman. And it’s a useful flag to avoid that situation in future. If you simply allow the wave of emotion to recede without recording it, you could have a false recollection of its violence and magnitude. Writing exposes the truth.
🎯 I am convinced most of us know exactly what to do to reach our goals.
The problem isn’t a lack of information. It’s a lack of execution.
You get more accomplished by simply starting rather than spending half of your day deciding where you’re going to start.
Easy, right?
17 hours of sunshine
Today is the longest day of the year in Berlin. The sun rose at around 4:40 and will set again at 21:34, which means around 17 hours of sunshine.
I would say "Let's do something meaningful!" and here I am, fighting with a spreadsheet.
