📈 Our experiments on two popular semantic parsing datasets have shown that TPOL outperforms both conventional seq2seq models and other approaches that exploit word alignments. TPOL perform well w/ automatic alignments too

@srush_nlp @LukeZettlemoyer Very interesting work. We also showed in 2019 that WFAs (a class including HMMs) are as competitive as RNNs when one has the ability to scale up. In our case we used spectral learning.
