this week last year, I got the text that changed my life.

The single line of text has opened doors for me in photography. That single line of text made me borrow money to afford my 13 hour bus trip from ibadan to abuja.

From that single line of text on whatsapp

Presidents, Vice president, Governors, Ministers, CEOs/MDs have graced my lenses all under one year. People I only see on the Television have complimented my works, People who people struggle to see daily, have looked for me just to get their photographs.

A full year for me, a personal year for me. The one boy who used to sell bread by Shasha road, Oremeta Bus-stop — the boy from a face me I face you in agbowo ibadan, is finally a documentary photographer and has been face to face with kings; proverbs 22:29 boy.

Good news is I have come a long way, the great news is I still have a long way. There’s power to do more.

Thank God for always! 🙏🏿❤️
