@Rock_Lovejoy @NaimAudio @ProfBrianCox @QueenWillRock Because class D is like a poor ADC/DAC. It re-quantises the audio. A class AB amp just makes the signal bigger. It may distort but in a fashion that is more harmonious to the ear. The brain has to process less so we relax and enjoy the music
