By the looks of it, some may be based on their movie posters. Take a closer look at the works from Park Chan-wook and Seijun Suzuki. Even with Truffaut, I believe that's supposed to be a scene from 400 Blows? Should be b/w there. Jean Renoir is mixed up with the painter. And most of the framing seems off.
