Spent a lotta years trying to outrun tomorrow. Funny thing is… tomorrow eventually catches up anyway. Next couple weeks I’ve got two chances to become world champion. Younger me woulda been losing sleep over that.

Older me’s sitting on a hotel balcony with my favorite person, listening to the city, thinkin about how lucky I am that I still get to do this. Win or lose…already got everything I was actually looking for.
