@damon415215@hackdeacon There are no misconceptions, even Mao himself agreed he is a dictator, and seemingly took pride in it. He is responsible for 40-80 million chinese deaths, why do so many revere him as a god?
@zhouyangch69946@SalvorHardrepp Finally, i have been reading so many chinese tweets and none of them have made the same important point you just made. Why do so many chinese people ignore that Mao is responsible for upwards of 80 million chinese deaths, and still glorify him?
@damon415215@hackdeacon Well it's common knowledge in the west that Mao Zedong was a dictator, it's not even meant as an insult, it's just the correct term.
@asdf15644222 In the west, most of us do consider Mao as a dictator, so it's not like he said anything wrong. I mean, Mao is responsible for an estimated 40-80 million deaths in china, I'm shocked so many chinese people revere him...
@weiqiu112442@yans11276@wxtk321301@asdf15644222 Isn't he responsible for the deaths of up to 40 million chinese farmers due to famine in 1958-1962..? Most of those who died were lower class people who did nothing wrong, not to mention the horrors of the cultural revolution
@yuid4yo4649@tb_tb_way@k2s_016@h4A91pwsSs55309@prttyskirt A 1000 years ago? The atrocities and war crimes Japan committed in China and Korea was just about 70-80 years ago. It's not unreasonable for them to still be angry over it. Things like the rape of Nanjing, or "comfort women", or unit 731's experiments, and plenty. more.
@Ghost8038417@KazuyaNakamur14@super105do@nabekuramasax It really is a blessing to live here, wouldn't want to live anywhere else lol. Richer than the united states, better educated, healthier, more peaceful and with better quality of life ๐ I'm grateful.
@KazuyaNakamur14@super105do@nabekuramasax I'm not describing japan as an oppressive regime. My point is that i think the protesters in France are justified in their form of protesting at this point, considering it's the only method that seems to yield results. They have tried dialogue already, which didn't work.
@KazuyaNakamur14@super105do@nabekuramasax Violence being necessary for social change against a more powerful, oppressive enemy is common knowledge though. People can't make change by trying to negotiate endlessly to an oppressive authority who doesn't care to listen. Everyone knows this
@JILL789345@Ofuton410482 Feels like a waste of energy to go out if your way to get upset about this topic, isn't it? It feels like most japanese people who are upset about this don't even really understand the cause of the protests. The people dressing up as anime character aren't even doing anything bad
@VON_G59@g2chill_@aim_azin Saitamas whole gag is that he can defeat anyone in more or less one punch... no matter how strong the character is.. I don't think DB fans understand that ๐ญ
@Sp0tSid3 I'm so confused this is like the best case scenario for a year of proper training ๐ญ fake natty influencers have destroyed people's perception it's insane. Keep doing what you're doing, you're on the best track anyone could expect
