Dear Friends:

It is with great sadness that we inform you that my husband, ShangPanda, passed away on August 16, 2025 at the age of 47 years due to a sudden illness which was not resolved by all efforts to save his life.

His life was characterized by diligence and earnestness, kindness and generosity, responsibility for his family and enthusiasm for his friends. We are deeply saddened and saddened by his passing, and we will always miss his smile, his tenacity, and all the warmth and beauty he brought to us.

With the care and help of his family and friends, the funeral has been properly handled. Your support has given us great comfort and strength.

We would like to thank you all once again for your kind and generous support.

🇨🇳🇬🇧As someone who grew up in the UK, why do I now choose to live in China?

The answer is very simple.. I have a much higher standard of living here in China than I now would ever have in the UK.

I live in a very safe society, Almost zero drugs, gun crime or violent crime. A society where I do not have to worry about my personal possessions like phones, bags etc being taken from me.
I live in one of the most expensive cities in China (Shenzhen, It's like London, but way bigger). However it's considerably cheaper than London, subway journeys anywhere in the city cost between 30p and 90p, are clean, on time and reliable, oh, and busses are even cheaper. If I wish to travel to another city in China I can take the high speed train, which is also clean, reliable and about the quarter of the price of equivalent UK train journeys.

I live in a 4 bedroom apartment which costs less than £600 pounds per month, I pay a small monthly fee for communal area maintenance, which is about £30.00 per month. There is nothing else to pay like council tax. My electricity, gas and water cost around one fifth of what it does in the UK. I can get food delivered to my door from most major supermarkets within half an hour with no additional delivery costs. I eat out at restaurants at least twice a week, where a decent meal for 2/3 people costs less that £30.00. China has Starbucks, which I don't often use, I go with a local brand like Luckin or Manner, where a regular Late costs between £1.00 and £1.50.

And before all of you who will say "but there is no freedom in China" don't bother. And don't start with that social credit score nonsense either, as both of those are utter nonsense.
