*On Superintelligence and Parenting*
Let’s just assume superintelligence is gonna happen in ~ a decade or so.
What does this imply for how we raise our kids?
In very practical terms, what should parents & educators be doing to prepare?
A few things I can think of:
Wish my friends and everyone in Japan to be safe with the magnitude-7.6 earthquake and tsunami. I always admire how calm and prepared they are when facing natural disasters.
@n_keivan@JosephJacks_ I am a believer that most of the life journey is about pain and suffering. And yes, technology is the key driver to make things better over time.
@TheZachMueller@HamelHusain@abacaj This is a comprehensive overview of the advanced RAG techniques. Can be useful to build the zeroth-order understanding of the landscape.

Photos and Videos: This feature falls short for Vision Pro. Wearing a headset doesn't align well with intimate moments with family. The gains of spatial photos and videos don't outweigh the need for unencumbered interaction when in the same physical space.
Communication: Vision Pro's potential for communication is remarkable, but Apple could reinvent the meeting experience further. The current large video tile format is akin to flat-screen video calls. There's room for a more personal and realistic face-to-face experience.
