@darrengrimes It's FIFA player of the match - same as it's been since 1988 when FIFA took over the women's game. Annual awards ceremonies were simpler as "men's player of the year", "women's player of the year" etc. At WC2026 It's sponsored by beer brand "Michelob Ultra Superior".
Cockwomble.
@RobertJenrick@RobKenyonReform You and your old party spent 14 years in government, implementing ruinous austerity, kneecapping the country to try and fix internal strife, plunged us out of the Dublin regulation, etc. Own your shameful record like a real weasel, I mean Man.
@SarahForRuncorn A Farage premiership would result in more nightmares of hidden consequences, like leaping headlong out of the Dublin Regulation on refugees and asylum which has holed us beneath the waterline like an Atlantic iceberg.
@BladesBall Ahh, yes, January 1964, when we were 4th in the top flight.
Incidentally, since then SWFC have spent 7,796 days as a top flight team. The Blavdes have spent 4,752.
As for the Prem? Been out of it for 26 yrs but have still spent more days in it than the Blavdes. 2,922 Vs 2,921.
@fl_trump2020@ImMeme0@PeterSpangler22 Nope, travellers, that ain't their front door. The mum wouldn't be able to restrain him effectively carrying a kid in her arms (took 2 adults to hold him back), and the boy was actively trying to run into an arrest with PAVA deployed. The temporary hold in car was for his safety.
@ImMeme0@PeterSpangler22 They held his arms while he tried to rush forwards. There's no bending back.
He WAS in danger. The man (his father) was resisting arrest and there was imminent use of pepper spray and possibly taser to subdue. Letting a child get in that mix risks real harm to them.
@Nigel_Farage Ooh, a nation's own people being betrayed by its leaders, press, the economic powers, and people on the Left. The only answer is special measures that ONLY one party, and their charismatic leader can offer.
Now.... Where have I heard of this sort of thing happening before?
@BTGroup should delve into @EE bb pricing/retention. Long term 1.6gbps customer, Β£85pcm. New customers? Β£28 for first year, 35 from May 27, 41 from May 28. 2yr deal would be Β£769. Me? Β£2040 if I change nowt. 'Special' retention deal was Β£1941. Shocking difference. @MartinSLewis
@LibertyLydia None of the claims stand up to scrutiny on many counts. Claimed regiment/Service. Time. Location. And given the Uganda fighting ended around 86, and typical new selection grads are lower end 24, he'd be 64 now if we're generous. Really?!
@JohnCleese Valid point. However, the loudest voices surrounding the story as a whole are those like Zia Yusuf repeatedly making a racial point surrounding the victim's Whiteness, and so the murderer's Otherness and specifically non-whiteness. Their tweets deserves similar clarification, no?
@Heccles94 He calls himself the Shadow Home Secretary. Critics can truthfully say that's because nobody can quite identify where the funding is coming from once the lights are on.
@RobertJenrick "Under a Reform government, hard work will finally be rewarded", says a former Conservative minister helpfully narrowing down the list of people responsible for it not being rewarded until now.
@StevenJonMiller "Reform now the only party for working classes." Next they'll announce they've become sole representatives of pensioners, dog owners, gardeners, anyone who's ever tutted at a self-service till. Once you start claiming entire segments of society, it's hard to know where to stop.
