Something very off with this whole story.

No CPS or law enforcement officer is showing up to a high profile national politician’s house in a Dem controlled state based on a report they believe is fake.

They’d be calling their boss and their boss’s boss to get approval before showing up.

Someone sent a completely unjustified“anonymous tip” on my parents which led to a hugely invasive and terrifying inspection process.

I don’t remember the exact statistic but this happens at least once to something like 1 in 4 American children. Nobody speaks up because nobody wants to be the guy to say “look, CPS came after my family in a completely baseless way and we maybe need to fix this insane government overreach”. It’s an inherently suspicious complaint.

But it’s a terrifying and shockingly widespread experience, and nothing will change if nobody speaks up. It sucks *from the perspective of the kids* too. I hope that the incident with Pete Buttigieg starts an awareness and subsequent preference cascade. I hope my saying this will inspire others to come forward. I really, really, sincerely would like this issue to be fixed.

I like Mark, but the truth is the only thing new about this story is that it happened to a Democrat. It’s ho-hum and commonplace for conservatives.

A lot of pearl clutching from the usual suspects online and on the cable news panels about “ending civilization.”

Take a breath. Let’s do some critical thinking and pretend like we actually know how President Trump communicates. Should he be taken literally? Like you really believe he’s going to vaporize the Persian population? Really? Have you been paying attention the last 11 years?

President Trump speaks in terms of POWER, which is the only language our adversaries understand. Carefully worded diplomatic statements make the UN feel nice and cozy but also don’t get anything done.

Pay attention to his actions. And so far the actions have left the Iranian military in shambles, their ballistic mission program nearly gone, and their nuclear program nearly destroyed.

The President is rightfully prioritizing the need for overwhelming force in order to open the Straits of Hormuz. That’s it. That’s the action we can expect.
