IT'S SO NOT O-VER, BABES‼️

I still think the funniest thing to ever happen in sports was when the Browns went 1-15, their coach said “I can tell you one thing, we’re not going 1-15 again next year,” and then they went 0-16
I haven't said anything publicly about this yet, waiting for Gret's family to lead. But this news is getting out, and there's no stopping it now. I also have feelings of my own that may or may not reflect Gret's family's, and I'd like to express those publicly. I think about Gret every single day and every single night.
...
It's true. There will be no trial, and it's unbelievable.
Joshua Danehower, who murdered my friend Gret Glyer while he slept in his bed, has been declared insane by the Commonwealth of Virginia. He will leave jail and be committed to a mental hospital, where he will be allowed to petition for his release.
Joshua carefully planned to murder Gret over the course of several months. Detectives found maps of Gret's office in Joshua's apartment. Joshua even visited Gret's home just weeks before he broke in with a loaded gun and shot Gret 10 times.
This happened in June 2022. Since then, I understand that the prosecution assured Gret's family over and over that a trial would happen. It was scheduled, then rescheduled, then rescheduled.
Now – 41 months later – the Commonwealth has decided that Joshua was insane at the time of the crime. There will be no trial.
A few weeks ago, I called @JasonMiyaresVA's office with concerns about the Commonwealth's prosecutor in Gret's case. As my older post demonstrated, he is an alcoholic and received special favors from the @FairfaxCountyPD.
Nothing was done. This is unfortunate, because the prosecutor's office and @SteveDescano are clearly incompetent. They spent more than three years building a case and assuring Gret's community that a trial was always just around the corner.
Now it will not happen. After three years of waiting.
It's really quite something to imagine that Joshua Danehower might one day be released – that he might cross paths with Gret's friends and family, or that I might see him working at the grocery store or walking around the park. This thought is horrifying – is Joshua capable of doing this again? And remember: Gret's family has lost their primary source of income, but Joshua's has not. He'll always have everything he needs.
I think the statute of limitations for the Glyers to sue Joshua in civil court – to obtain financial damages – has passed (a very convenient outcome for Joshua, who refused for years to be seen by a psychologist).
But I don't speak for the Glyers. I didn't lose income. I don't want damages. But I do want justice, and what's happened here seems utterly unjustifiable.
At Gret's funeral, Governor @GlennYoungkin sent a member of his staff to read a letter on his behalf. It was beautiful and honored Gret's amazing legacy. I can only hope that, with what little time he has left, he might follow his words with actions and do something to fix this embarrassing disaster of a situation in Fairfax County.
Cross generational social networks are good for many reasons, but an important one is that younger men benefit immensely from older men yelling at them to not be idiots and get their lives in order
Joshua Danehower is charged in Fairfax County Virginia with murdering Gret Glyer in June 2022 by shooting him 10 times while Glyer was sleeping in bed with his wife. @SteveDescano the putative Commonwealth's Attorney is reportedly going to allow Danehower to have a stipulated not guilty by reason of insanity finding without a trial, meaning that Danehower will likely be out of the mental health facility in less than one year. He premeditated the murder, purchased the firearm, broke into Glyer's home, and had a written escape plan. Those are not the actions of someone lacking mental responsibility. The only person lacking mental responsibility in this case is @SteveDescano . Abomination!
I actually don't care at all what someone's mental state is
If "delusions" caused you to do something, you're still a danger to those around you
That makes me LESS sympathetic, by your own admission you're out of control

One of the toughest things about the Christian dating scene is that the women are all over at the baptist/nondenom mega church and the men are all at the most trad place they can find
A lot to like about the hiring of Blake Butera as the Nationals' new manager
