1/ In discussions and articles about electric vehicles (EVs) that could both charge and discharge their battery, I often see the assumption that if a vehicle can back-feed electricity into the grid it can also be used as a back-up power source. Well, this is far from automatic.
V2G tech could save Europe €22B/year by 2040, with €10B in savings by 2030! EVs acting as mobile batteries for the grid could drive €175B in savings by 2040. At Nuvve, we're leading the way to a smarter, more sustainable energy future. ⚡🚗

@FrankWunderli13 V2G should be part of the solution. With 5mio vehicles in Denmark, at 10kW/40kWh you get 10 times more than in the above example with BESS.
We’re thrilled to announce our partnership in the EVVE project, aimed at accelerating bidirectional charging solutions across Europe. Read more: https://t.co/nmyr2Yz6n2
Great concept to effectively convert an ICE truck-trailer combination into a hybrid, or extend the range of an electric vehicle

What's the #DraghiReport recommending for V2G?
- Standard charging protocol that enable bidirectional charging (p154)
- Guidelines & specs for bidirectional charging infrastructure interoperability (p155)
- Incentivising large-scale roll-out of bidirectional charging (p37)
1/ New research @UniLUT https://t.co/vxZDWAcAR2 demonstrates that a #100RE system benefits strongly from smart charging of electric vehicles (EVs), vehicle-to-grid (V2G) functionality, and flexibility of electrolysers. The insights have been obtained on the case of #Japan.

"All of this represents a tragic failure to exploit the clean-energy assets we have in an efficient way. While the world as a whole would benefit greatly from a wide-scale shift to V2G, most players would see only marginal advantages, or even disadvantages."

@AukeHoekstra Phase 2B) Use V2G instead of stationnary one-trick poney batteries only dedicated to storage : better use of resources, marginal cost of using the EV battery as a storage when parked idle. EVs will be everywhere.
And of course we could also use the batteries in our car for this. Did you know that switching to EVs will give us around 10x more batteries than we need to balance the grid? And that cars stand still 23 out of 24 hours on average?
