Tamil Nadu industrialist and granite baron R. Veeramani has been arrested in Chennai following allegations of sexually assaulting minor girls. The case resurfaced after an anonymous complaint accompanied by a pen drive containing video evidence was handed over to the police. The footage purportedly showed Veeramani assaulting a minor inside the bedroom of an associate's house in Chennai.

This is bone chilling!!

A sexual abuse allegation involving girls, against granite baron Veeramani, and the subsequent police attempt to close the case during the last DMK period, is a massive failure of governance.

I can’t even begin to imagine the trauma those little girls would have endured. What is even more shocking is the failure to pursue investigation in such a grave case involving minors.

@CMOTamilnadu, requesting you to please bring this up in Monday’s Assembly session. Assure the victims that every perpetrator, and anyone who attempted to bury this case will face the full force of the law. When that assurance comes from you directly, more victims will find the courage to speak up.

And @Ahmedshabbir20 - tremendous respect man✊!!! This is what responsible journalism is supposed to look like. When all of the media stayed silent, you pursued the story and put the uncomfortable questions out in the open, regardless of who is involved. I hope your report opens the Pandora’s box, brings every truth to light and secures justice for every child affected.

DMK’s failures in this case must be exposed. The mask has to come off.
