I want to strongly believe that people’s tweets are reflections of what their thoughts are.
For me today, it’s seriously about the Future of Tech roles and how people can position strongly position themselves.
hence the reason for this question, why do we still keep living in optimism that all is well instead of accepting the fact that the dynamics have changed nagatively. Why is no one or group educating people on a way out?
The layoffs are not showing signs of ending soon. More tools that lowers the bar of software development kept coming out daily, increasing number of newbies joining the market because of shared optimism and past glory and honestly, this does not look to me like all is well.
Before now, the situation was about one engneer to many jobs, later down the line, it strucked a balance at one engineer to one job, fast forward to today, it's now many engineers chasing one job. Hundreds of thousands of layoffs, more entry-level engineers joining the market
I understand the role optimism plays in this situation, which explains why most of us have continued to live in chronic disbelieve that most jobs will seize to exist, while for me, the signs are saying otherwise and it's pretty much like no one is saying anything about it
While these remain true, recently, some of these promises have also been challenged. One that I have tried to make sense of in recent times is the "Avaliability of jobs". looking at the number of engineers around the globe today, will there ever be enough job for atleast 70% ?
Over the years, Software development industry has trended hugely for lots of reasons, ranging from high paying salaries, availability of jobs, working remotely for global industries, solving worlds most presing problems and many more.
Many devs love Go for its simplicity - and a lot of this comes from its small core group of data structures.
There are three main ones you'll need to know: arrays, slices, and maps.
In this tutorial, Gabor explains how each one works in depth with Go code examples.

My new book, Get Insanely Good at AI is live!
266 pages covering everything you need to actually be unstoppable with this technology.
I've spent the last thirteen years building software, the last few using AI to build and ship things I could never have built alone, while teaching thousands of developers how to do the same.
Everything I know about getting SERIOUS leverage out of this technology is in this book.
It's live right now at https://t.co/dJW8b224vU. Please check it out. I'd love to hear back from you!
Instead of just watching an hour of Netflix, why not dive into this 2-hour Stanford lecture on AI careers? It’s packed with insights that could give you a real edge in the AI race, more than all the AI content you’ve seen this year.
