Today, @Ripple announced the acquisition of Hidden Road for $1.25B, one of the largest deals ever in the crypto space. But the price tag isn’t what’s most important – it’s that this deal marks a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for crypto to access the largest and most trusted traditional markets, and vice versa.

Prime brokers (along with other key functions historically managed by banks for the most part) like Hidden Road have proven themselves as *the* trusted intermediary for the largest hedge funds, market makers, OTC desks, quant traders and more. Ripple has been a customer of Hidden Road for years, and we know their breadth of expertise firsthand, clearing $3 TRILLION annually for 300+ of the top financial institutions globally.

👉In 1998, I purchased 1000 shares of a small company barely known at $17 per share called Amazon. About 3 to 5 months later I sold all my shares at $27 and was pretty happy for a young investor. Little did I know 20 years later #AMZN would reach over $3300/share and go through 4 stock splits that would have resulted in owning 240K shares at todays price of $217 = $52M. Yep I'm a bone head. 🦴

👉The moral of the story is... the value of technology companies can be massive and #crypto technologies like #XRP can have the same upside potential over time. So know what you own and make sure you have a sound #exitplan that lets you capitalize on some gains now and many more in the future.

✅I'm sharing this story not for sympathy, but to educate the community so that they don't make the same Johnny Krypto mistake I made.

I’ve been presenting cases to juries for over 25 years. During the 2024 election, I plan to present a very compelling case for enacting TERM LIMITS for members of Congress.

Exhibit A: 90 year old @SenFeinstein wheeled into the Senate, instructed on how to vote by unelected handlers, only days/weeks before her death. Had she not died, she’d be voting on modern day technologies like AI, Blockchain & Crypto, Autonomous driving, Robotics, etc.

Exhibit B: video of 82 year old @LeaderMcConnell having a ministroke on national TV - not once - but TWICE.

Exhibit C: over 1/3 of the U.S. Senate, including @ewarren, are UNABLE to serve as a state judge in Massachusetts because they’re too OLD and would face mandatory retirement at 70.

Exhibit D: @SenSanders is 82 and running for a FOURTH term. If reelected, he will be 88 years old in office and voting on issues that will impact the youngest of people.

Exhibit E: the list below 👇 where 21 Democrats, with an average age of 48, proved innovation should never be the subject of partisan politics. Career politicians are resistant to change and favor maintaining the status quo.

Exhibit F: video of @ewarren 12 years ago promising voters she would go to Washington to hold the Banking industry accountable, followed by the video recording of her co-sponsor, @RogerMarshallMD, admitting the Banking Industry, led by Jamie Dimon of @jpmorgan, wrote Senator Warren’s latest bill. If that doesn’t scream term limits I don’t know what does.
