@kunchenguid It is extremely hard and time consuming work to get good at (1) design (2) modeling and (3) printing.
Downloading other people's models, modeling, printing and ultimately debugging other people's designs and models is deeply un satisfying...
But what is worse,
@zack_overflow@asmirkn AI is dead to me. The only things it can help you with are the entry level shit...which has been done by millions until they get enough XP to do something else.
The material's prime use case *was* to ID talent.
The technical population in the field narrows exponentially.
@Geiger_Capital@tickerplus They are churning through intertia built up by addicting their customer base to free tokens (building trust and convincing them to layoff talent)...
...then betraying that trust with impunity by spiking prices with marginal "rise" (feels like regression) in performance
@Geiger_Capital@tickerplus They pumped their prices.
I can't ask claude for home code advice.
1) I am certain it will steal what I am working hard to own and have
2) it's wrong
3) it costs as much as an expensive lunch to find out
@philzona@provisionalidea So it is a knowledge consensus calculator marketed as the solution to STEM.
But, while in the short term the scientific consensus is right, in the long term it is always wrong.
So this thing is really only good for young employees to buff their skills as they work.
@RomainHedouin@punctumfix Human code isn't sloppy, maintained code is maintained code.
Maintained AI code is something even the AIs scrap and start over.
Lol.
@ElliotGlazer It defeats the matrix multiplication algorithm. The math frontier should in theory be that hard, but it's probably dense with a mix of easy and hard problems...
...and possibly trivial problems of perspective
@ElliotGlazer (Bearing in mind the AIs can offer zero insight on anything "hard" or of NxM complexity, where they must compute findings for the internal squares.
@AlexanderKalian This AI thing is an albatross around Trump and the Republican party's necks, as we'll have to shut it down, and with that shut down will come a repudiation of the republican party.
Not what I want, but what will happen if their "All In" position does not evolve.
@AlexanderKalian The companies are functioning like sophisticated viruses.
Staff yourself with cheap talent straight out of undergrad, win stupid prizes.
@proofchecker@DellAnnaLuca Lol Lean formalizations do not provide correctness.
As a trivial example, and without exploiting flaws, if I assert axiomatically something false is true anywhere in the formalism, I can prove preposterous things.
AI does such things routinely when coding. Routinely.
