Sifuna Takes Aim at Atwoli Over Youth Remarks

Buana, Edwin Sifuna has taken issue with Francis Atwoli after his weekend remarks that young people are supposed to be protecting the country.

Speaking in Kitui, Sifuna says some of what he refers to as "wazee" are aging badly.

The Nairobi Senator says it is time for the youth to take over the leadership of the country, urging young people to register as voters.

"Sisi tunajua hao wazee. Akishakaa chini ya mti, umeletee maziwa kama paka mzee, kuna shida kweli?" says Sifuna, adding that they will respect elders who show respect to the youth.
