Sheep have arrived at Ennisbrook Open Space! This project is one of the many ways Montecito Fire accomplishes fire prevention & vegetation management. About 100 sheep will graze here through the end of May. The trails are open & you’re welcome to watch the sheep do their work!

TRAIL RESCUE: Montecito firefighters responded to 25YO female hiker in distress on the Hot Springs Trail Sat. at 3:10pm. Medics determined she needed to be hoisted out via helicopter. SBC Fire Copter 4 hoisted the patient out & she was then transported via ambulance to hospital.
MULTI-VEHICLE CRASH: Highway 101 northbound is closed at Ortega Hill Rd. following a multi-vehicle traffic collision Saturday night. 7 vehicles and 1 motorcyclist involved. Montecito firefighters responded to the incident at approximately 5:20 p.m.

Montecito Fire deployed to the #FairviewFire in Riverside County this morning as part of a mixed Santa Barbara County strike team. Engine 191 is working with our partners from @CSFPD, @SBCityFirePIO, @LompocCityFire & @SMFDHQ. Our stations in Montecito remain fully staffed.
