My Twitch account, Sp3ctr7, was hit with a 30-day suspension for playing Welcome to the Game 2 on July 15, 2026, under Twitch’s “Death or Extreme Injury Media” policy.

Let’s be clear: this game has over 180,000 followers on Twitch. It is not some obscure piece of content that suddenly appeared on the platform. Major streamers—including xQc, who has pulled 40,000+ live viewers, and Sodapoppin—have also played this game safely on Twitch.

So I have a very simple question for @Twitch: Why am I being punished this severely for content that major creators have streamed without facing the same apparent consequences?

If the rules apply to everyone, then they need to actually apply to everyone. Twitch cannot reasonably expect smaller creators to accept harsh enforcement while watching much larger creators seemingly receive a pass for the same or substantially similar content.

That's not consistent enforcement. That's a double standard.

I appealed the suspension immediately. Twitch Support responded by telling me they were upholding the suspension—with absolutely no meaningful explanation as to why. No clarification. No specific reasoning. No indication of what made my stream warrant a 30-day suspension while larger creators have been able to play the same game.

And this isn't just about me losing access to my Twitch account.

My brother and I represent @5thsquad , a 501(c)(3) veterans charity in Mississippi on the Twitch platform. We were actively using our platform to promote an important upcoming fundraising event to help support veterans in our community. Because of this sudden suspension, we have been forced to postpone that fundraiser. So when Twitch makes what may seem like a simple moderation decision against one streamer, there can be real-world consequences beyond that streamer. Real people are affected. Real veterans are affected. A real charity fundraiser has been disrupted.

I am not asking Twitch to give me special treatment. I'm asking Twitch for equal treatment.

If I violated a rule, then explain exactly what I did wrong and why a 30-day suspension was warranted. But if this content is prohibited, then enforce that policy consistently—regardless of whether the streamer has 500 followers or 50 million. Rules without consistent enforcement aren't rules. They're discretion. @Twitch @TwitchSupport @thewebpro I am asking for a human review of this suspension, a clear explanation of the decision, and consistent enforcement of Twitch's policies across the platform. We deserve better. Our charity deserves better. And the veterans we're trying to help deserve better. I would also like to receive a point of contact at Twitch to contact in the future should issues like this ever come up in the future.
