Last week's Chainflip highlights:
- Release 2.2 went live
- TRON is now live: native TRX and USDT-TRC20 swaps
- Lending 2.0 and Oracle-based Stablecoin Strategies launched
- @THORSwap: $40.5M routed through Chainflip in May, our #1 integrator
MILESTONE: The FLIP burn just wiped out four years of emissions.
Burns have now surpassed everything emitted since TGE. $FLIP supply rose with emissions, peaked near 95.7M, and has returned to the 90M it launched with.
And it’s not stopping: every Chainflip swap will keep buying and burning until FLIP 2.1 goes live. https://t.co/gHPyq4fbaz
With the upcoming FLIP 2.1 tokenomics, current simulations project an APY of 28.2%.

A few weeks later: 25 validators, RPC costs cut to less than 1% industry standards and custom routing gateway that learns in real-time.

Just so you know, $USDT on Tron does Tens of Billions in volume daily.
It is the primary rail for global payments, CEX-to-CEX transfers, and OTC desks.
Mostly untouched to native $BTC.
@Chainflip has the potential to tinker into that market. A potential of trillions in annual volume. ✨
$FLIP
Wow, Monero bridge 'Wagyu' founder which operates very closely to Hyperliquid, shuts down the bridge preventing any illicit funds going into XMR then getting into the Hyperliquid ecosystem.
Insane times
This is one of the biggest DeFi hacks of 2026 🚨
Here’s what just happened:
Kelp DAO’s rsETH bridge got exploited through LayerZero.
Around 116,500 rsETH was drained.
That’s $293M gone in minutes.
Main drain transaction:
0x1ae232da212c45f35c1525f851e4c41d529bf18af862d9ce9fd40bf709db4222
This call hit lzReceive and released funds from the bridge.
The attacker funded wallets through Tornado Cash.
Then executed the exploit.
Then immediately started moving funds.

These wallets:
- received rsETH
- moved it across DeFi
- borrowed against it
- swapped it into ETH
Funds were used instantly.
- rsETH deposited into Aave, Compound, Euler
- ETH borrowed against it
- swaps through DEXs (Uniswap, Kyber, etc.)
- positions opened and drained
Estimated flows:
~52,000+ ETH borrowed
~16,000+ ETH borrowed
~5,500+ ETH swapped
~74,000 ETH consolidated
The collateral (rsETH) is now frozen / broken.
But the borrowed ETH is real.
So protocols are left with:
~$280M+ bad debt
Affected:
- Aave V3
- Compound
- Euler
Aave already reacted:
- froze rsETH
- trying to contain losses
Bridge → DeFi → bad debt
This is not over.
Stay safe.
⚠️ALERT: $AAVE is now down -19% today after a $292M Kelp DAO rsETH exploit triggered a full-blown liquidity crisis.
Aave's ETH pool just hit 100% utilization. That means one thing: there's almost no ETH left to withdraw.
Here's what happened:
Attacker drained 116,500 rsETH ($292M) from Kelp DAO's LayerZero bridge
He then deposited the stolen rsETH as collateral on Aave V3 to borrow ~$236M in WETH.
Because the rsETH is now unbacked, those positions are unliquidatable.
Aave is now stuck with ~$280M in bad debt it cannot recover.
Panic withdrawals have followed: $5.4 BILLION in $ETH outflows, with Justin Sun pulling 65,584 ETH ($154M) alone.
ETH utilization has maxed out at 100%, which means there's almost no ETH left to withdraw.
This is the FIRST real-world test of Aave's Umbrella safety module & the BIGGEST DeFi exploit of 2026.
This is a developing story.
Took a peep at DefiLlama revenue data for the cross-chain protocols
Thorchain leads the way on absolute revenue, Near close behind.
Chainflip smallest revenue but 3.4x cheaper than TC and 66x cheaper than Near on revenue/FDV
Market definitely places a premium on Near valuation (Assuming due to L1/AI + intents revenue), yet the market heavily discounts FLIP. Thorchain chilling in between.
$FLIP $RUNE $NEAR
@smiley_dd1@Chainflip THORchain did not do over collateralized lending, they were promising 0 interest solutions that carried significant risk whilst hiding it through complexity
📢 $WBTC swaps are now available via @Chainflip!
Great price execution, made even better with Chainflip Boost feature. Speeding up swap time to less than a Bitcoin block! 👏
Try it today on @THORSwap 🤝
