“We were asked to remain calm and assured that our children would return safely, but the wait has become unbearable. Each passing day feels like an eternity. We have no idea where they are, what conditions they are facing, or even if they have had anything to eat.”
— Parents of the abducted Oriire pupils and teachers continue to appeal for urgent action and the safe return of their loved ones. 💔🙏🏽
Happening now:
"What's going on in this country? Schools are still open while students are being kidn@pped. This must stop."
— Falz TheBahdGuy joins protest in Lagos over rising insecurity in the country.
The more I try to be quiet about this, the more I realize people need to know what we are not talking about.
A church revival was attacked.
A pastor was killed.
Families were torn apart in minutes.
Among those taken were three siblings. Their mother, who had initially escaped by running away went back because her children were among those being taken.
A church member rushed to help the pastor after the attack.
He had an accident on the way too and by the time he regained consciousness, he was told his wife and 3 children had been abducted.
The man lost his leg!
Now, more than 40 days later, families are still waiting for answers.
Kids have joined the call. They are pleading with the government to free their friends. This broke my heart. Nigerians have abandonment issues. The Nigerian child has no sheltered life. Nigeria is the father that sabotages his future. He can hardly account for all his children 💔
While we are going about our daily activities, 114 Nigerian pupils and teachers remain in captivity in boko haram dens across the country.
Oyo: 46 abducted — about 27 days in captivity (2 already dead).
Borno: 42 abducted — about 27 days in captivity.
Katsina: 26 abducted — over 40 days in captivity.
They're spending this rainy season unsheltered in the den of kidnappers while their families are waiting for their return.
Don't forget them. 💔❤️
In 4days time, it will be one whole month of children being in the forest with kidnappers bruh.
A full moon of torture, hunger on sheer suffering. Their only offense was being poor Nigerians 💔💔
Every passing day is a reminder of a system that has failed to protect its most vulnerable. They are not statistics; they are human beings. Bring them home now.
Day 27
It’s 27 days since Oyo children were taken.
It’s 27 days since Oyo children were taken.
It’s 27 days since Oyo children were taken.
It’s 27 days since Oyo children were taken.
It’s 27 days since Oyo children were taken.
SHOULD WE MOVE ON & FORGET THE KIDS?
Children and mothers staged a protest in Oriire, Oyo State, demanding the release of school pupils kidnapped by bandits two weeks ago. The protesters called on the government to speed up efforts and ensure the safe return of the children.
Little children are now protesting and calling on mothers to join them in solidarity, urging the government to do everything possible to secure the release of the k!dnapp£d children….. This country man💔💔
It’s 24 days since Oyo State children were kidnapped. 39 schoolchildren & 7 teachers were kidnapped. One of the teachers was beheaded. Everyday the children spend in captivity is another day of uncertainty. Please the authorities should rescue the children. 💔
