Afar Ethiopia
This breathtaking sight comes from the Erta Ale volcano in Ethiopia, one of the only places on Earth where flames appear as glowing blue lava. At night, escaping sulfur gases ignite at scorching temperatures, creating rivers of electric-blue fire.
It looks otherworldly, but it’s one of Earth’s most extreme natural wonders—hidden deep in the Danakil Depression, one of the hottest places on the planet.

It was my Pleasure to welcome a delegation led by Mr Chris Moore, Executive Director of UN Foundation and Health Advocacy, and key USA Congressional Staff at my office today and have Productive Discussion.
Our discussion focused on the efforts made by our government to improve the health sector, the challenges we face due to the Fund suspension from some International Donors, and on strengthening our collaboration and partnership to overcome the challenges.
We kicked off this year’s one-day #GreenLegacy planting early this morning. Our goal for the 7th year: 700 million seedlings. Let’s achieve it together!
