a nuclear scientist just got killed in an airstrike in Iran and honestly i need to talk about this because western media won't & i think most people don't understand what they're looking at
as i've been explaining for weeks now in multiple threads, Israel through Mossad has been assassinating Iranian scientists for over a decade and i genuinely think the Fakhrizadeh case is one of the most terrifying operations in modern intelligence history
this man was killed in 2020 by a remote controlled ai-powered machine gun smuggled into Iran in pieces over several months, the whole thing weighed a ton, it was mounted on a pickup truck on the side of the road and operated via satellite from a Mossad command center 1 600 km away, 15 bullets fired in under 60 seconds, the AI compensated for the satellite delay the recoil and the speed of the car in real time, that's how far they're willing to go to eliminate Iranian brainpower one by one
but here's what i find fascinating, the assassinations didn't break the ecosystem because it runs too deep, so they escalated, US just bombed Iran's university of science and technology, one of the oldest and most prestigious in the country and if you've been following me you already know why this matters
these are the same institutions that took Iran from 58th to 4th in the world in nanotechnology in 20y that produce the engineers who designed the Arvand rocket engine and the maneuverable reentry vehicles, that trained the physicists behind the MRBM to IRBM leap to 4 000 km on Diego Garcia, i've been writing about this scientific ecosystem for years and everything happening right now is the logical continuation of what i already laid out
and i think that's the part nobody wants to say out loud, this war was never about nukes or regime change, i believe it's about dismantling the only sovereign state in the Middle East and i mean the ONLY ONE
look at every other country in the region, Saudi Arabia outsources its entire defense to the Pentagon & couldn't fight a war in Yemen for 8y without American logistics and still lost, the UAE bought F-35s in exchange for normalizing with Israel, Qatar hosts the largest US air base in the region at Al Udeid, Bahrain hosts the US Fifth fleet, Kuwait, Iraq Jordan are military protectorates in everything but name none of these countries design manufacture or deploy their own weapons systems, none of them have an indigenous defense industry, their sovereignty ends where the next Lockheed Martin contract begins, if Washington calls tomorrow and says stop they stop because they literally cannot function without american hardware
Iran is the ONLY country in that entire region that built everything from scratch under 40y of total embargo because NOBODY would sell them anything and that's exactly why they're the target
they know the only way to stop this machine is to kill the people who build it…and when killing them one by one wasn't enough to crack an ecosystem too deep to break, they started bombing the universities directly and i'll say this as clearly as i can
you don't bomb a university when you're winning a war, you bomb a university when you've realized the real threat was never the arsenal it was the intelligence behind it and you have no idea how to stop it
I don't think people understand the gravity of the situation as the UN is preparing for possible nuclear weapon use in Iran.
This is a picture of Tehran. For you uneducated, untraveled, never-served, warhawks licking your chops at the thought of bombing it. It's not some low population desert. There are families, children, family pets. Regular working class people with dreams. You're sick to want war.
Tehran is a city of nearly 10,000,000 people. Imagine nuking Washington, Berlin, Paris, London, or beyond, bombed with nuclear weapons.
I gave up my diplomatic career to leak this information. I suspended my duties so as not to be part of or a witness to this crime against humanity, in an attempt to prevent a nuclear winter before it is too late.
Yesterday, nearly ten million people protested “No Kings” in the United States. The possibility of the use of nuclear weapons must be taken very seriously. It's dangerous. Act now. Spread this message worldwide. Take the streets. Protest for our humanity and future. Only the people can stop it. History will remember us.
Israel dug Yahya S!nwar's grave & expected him to jump in it and lie down quietly. But even in the post mortem his body fought back. The pathologist said: "This man hasn't eaten for at least three days". That's because, like most of the Hamas fighters, S!nwar starved alongside his people to show solidarity. He and his fighters didn't hide underground either. He died a hero, fighting to his last breath. Don't stop talking about #Gaza and don't listen to Zionist propaganda.
Everyone felt sad for the penguin walking alone and the monkey rejected by his mother. But this video is far more heartbreaking, yet it didn’t receive the same attention.
Oh hey my laziness discovered a balik kampung hack - pack baju in small/medium sized basket. Terus dari ampaian atau longgokan kain, into the basket and into the trunk 🎉
I chilled too much and now belum beli buku tulis & aktiviti anak-anak. Totally forgot! School bookstore doesn’t open til Monday and that’s when they start real class 🥴
Idk if other parents think the same when they install their first kid’s carseat but I struggled with the thought of would I rather them die with me or survive without me (seated behind me or the opposite).
…neither felt better than the other.
Took Z to Nimroc to try it out. Read my book kejap, pandang atas tengok half of his head kena shave dah 🤣 Should have known. They really like the shaved style ek. I want my boy cute, not handsome 🥲
Body wanted to move so badly I went for a power run and hit a PR. It’s taken years of work to finally be able to listen to my body and its needs 🥲💓
Also learned today that my airpods cannot use anymore. Didn’t even last 2 songs.
"But counseling is too soft we need real consequences"
Okay who said consequences have to be physical violence though?
And let's be real - we're talking about cases where students literally murdered or raped other students. You think caning would've prevented that? You think a kid planning murder is worried about getting hit with a stick?
Corporal punishment doesn't stop extreme violence. These cases need actual intervention: police, psychological evaluation, criminal charges, expulsion.
For everything else: suspension, community service, loss of privileges, restorative justice (aka actually facing the person you hurt).
Getting hit = 5 seconds of pain → over → forgotten
Real consequences = way harder → actually makes you reflect on what you did
Here's what the research actually shows
Kids who got hit are way MORE likely to:
→ Be aggressive (literally defeating the entire purpose) → Have anxiety and mental health issues
→ Do worse academically
→ Just repeat the same behavior again
And here's what it actually teaches: that violence is an acceptable way to solve problems. It creates resentment instead of understanding.
Punishment without explanation doesn't develop moral reasoning - kids don't learn why something was wrong, just that they'll get hurt if they do it.
🧵 "I got hit as a kid. Look at me now - successful, respectful, not in jail. Why shouldn't we do the same?"
Because you're literally describing survivorship bias.
No offense but that's the same energy as "my grandpa smoked his whole life and lived to 90" like okay??? That doesn't mean cigarettes are good for you???
Your experience = sample size of 1
Scientific studies = sample size of 160,000+
Some kids who got hit turned out fine. Some became anxious, aggressive, or worse. Some literally died. Just because YOU survived doesn't mean it's the best method.
Your 1 experience vs 160,000+ kids in actual studies.
Which one should we be making laws based on?
And now, the reality:
- Cambodia and Thailand: it was a border conflict that ended thanks to mediation by Malaysia. All Trump did was a phone call threatening tariffs.
- Kosovo and Serbia: there was no war
- DRC and Rwanda: war did not end, violence continues
- Pakistan and India: India is adamant there was no US mediation
- Israel and Iran: the US was literally a belligerent (remember the US strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities?)
- Egypt and Ethiopia: there was no war
- Armenia and Azerbaijan: the "peace deal" hasn't actually been signed
- Israel and Hamas: beyond obscene for the US to take credit for ending a genocide it was the key enabler of
I feel sorry for both families.
Spare a little thought to the suspect's parents too. No parents want such a thing to happen. Feeling of guilt and shame are already heavy on them. Don't add more insults.
May God ease both families' affair during this challenging time.
🩷“Sugar? What do I need sugar for when I have you?” said freed Palestinian hostage Ahmad, kneeling to embrace and kiss his mother after nearly two years in Israeli occupation prisons. She had brought him chocolate, worried about his sugar levels after hearing of the starvation and abuse detainees faced inside the camps.
Ahmad’s mother got her son back today, but she is only one among thousands of Palestinian mothers still waiting hoping for the day they too will see their children freed from Israel’s torture camps.
