In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. A few hours ago, the Rt. Hon. Speaker of the 10th House of Representatives, Hon. Tajudeen Abbas GCON, announced my letter of resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and my formal move to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) at plenary. I am now a member of the ADC, and I will be seeking re‑election to continue representing the good people of Kaduna North Federal Constituency on this platform.
I am joined in this new chapter by our respected elder, Hon. Engr. Suleiman Richifa, representing Soba, and my dear brother, Hon. Umar Ajilo, representing Makarfi/Kudan, who both defected from their previous parties to the African Democratic Congress. Together, we are building a home for progressive, people‑focused service.
This decision was not taken lightly. As a proud son of Mallam Nasir @elrufai, I am guided by courage, conviction, and the unshakable belief that our people deserve the very best. To the people of Kaduna North: our work continues, and it will not stop. We will never compromise on delivering quality representation. There is still so much to do.
By the grace of God, I will soon announce the ad hoc committee for the Primary Health Care initiative I unveiled last week. We will be equipping Primary Health Care Centres with medical supplies, starting with 1,000 syringes per PHC and other essential items. Phase I begins with two centres: Unguwar Sarki Ward and Badarawa/Malali Ward.
May Allah SWT continue to guide us as we serve the people. And may He bless Nigeria with the best leaders.
Signed
Hon. Mohammed Bello El-Rufai
Member.
Kaduna North Federal Constituency
Chairman, Committee on Banking Regulations.
May 7, 2026.
You don't know that El Rufai is in prison? Malami is in prison. Which of these people (in the APC government) can swear by the Quran or the Bible that they haven't done worse than Malami and El Rufai did?
There are some of those who presided over the amendment of this (Electoral Amendment) bill who are accused of stealing N500bn of Nigerian taxpayers' money, and they are presiding over our destiny... Why are they selective?

The health and welfare of @elrufai is a matter of grave concern to his family, friends, and associates.
The Federal Government owes Nigerians clarity. It must state clearly which agency is holding him, whether the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC), the State Security Service (SSS), or any other arm of the security establishment.
Secrecy in matters of detention only fuels suspicion. Nigerians deserve transparency.
Whichever agency is responsible has a constitutional duty to guarantee his safety, dignity, access to medical care, and access to his family and legal representatives.
Reports that he suffered a nosebleed while family members were allegedly denied access are deeply troubling and unacceptable in a democracy.
If the authorities cannot guarantee his health and fundamental rights, the lawful and humane course of action is to grant him bail without delay. If anything happens to El-Rufai, this government will be held accountable.
More troubling, however, is the growing perception of selective prosecution, in which opposition figures are aggressively pursued while others are conspicuously shielded from investigation or interrogation. Anti-corruption must not become a political weapon.
The continued detention of El-Rufai under unclear circumstances raises serious questions about motive. Anti-corruption cannot be credible when it appears partisan, coercive, or strategically timed.
Justice must be transparent. Accountability must be even-handed. And the rule of law must apply to all; without fear, without favour, and without political bias. -AA
My thoughts and prayers remain with the victims held captive and their families, who endure unimaginable anguish while the nation looks to its leadership for resolute action.
To think that our national security architecture has improved, in the face of persistent and brazen acts of terror, is to indulge in a dangerous illusion.
This is a critical moment for the central government to rise beyond rhetoric and demonstrate, through concrete measures, an unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and restoring public confidence.
@ShehuSani You may persist in exaggeration and in inciting discord; however, one must remain mindful that whatever one directs at others may, in due course, return upon oneself.
Aboki girl from the North, wey sabi English pass everybody. 😁😁
Repost this, if you believe she deserves a hundred thousand dollars and an apartment in Abuja too.
If such rewards can be granted in those cases, then surely, the government has a responsibility to secure this girl's future. Starting with a fully funded education at a world-class university and a guaranteed, befitting job upon graduation.
I sincerely hope and pray that this brilliant young girl gets the recognition she truly deserves from the government. Recently, some athletes who won competitions were rewarded with hefty sums in dollars, luxury duplexes and even national honors.
Nafisa Deserves Recognition: $100,000, a flat, and OON!
I read from various reliable sources that Nafisa Abdullah Aminu, a 17-year-old student from Yobe State in Nigeria, has indeed been recognised as the top performer in English language skills globally at the 2025 TeenEagle Global Finals held in London, United Kingdom. She outperformed over 20,000 participants from 69 countries, including native English-speaking nations, to win the competition. We are proud of you, Nafisa.
It was also reported that Nafisa is a student of Nigerian Tulip International College (NTIC) in Yobe State. This her achievement has sparked our celebration.
There is no doubt that her success can be attributed to her natural talent, dedication, discipline, and support she received from her parents and the schools she attended. Nafisa's achievement highlights her as a shining example of Nigerian students' potential to excel globally with the right opportunities and enabling environment. This kind of feat requires more encouragement from the government.
Recently, our women's football team won the Women's Africa Cup in Morocco. Each player received $100,000, a three-bedroom flat, and a national honour of the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON). In addition, our Nigeria’s women’s national basketball team, D'Tigress, was appreciated following their historic fifth consecutive victory at the 2025 FIBA Women’s AfroBasket Championship for becoming the first African team to qualify for the 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup Pre-Qualifying Tournament.
I strongly recommend that Nafisa deserves $100,000, a three-bedroom flat, and a national honour from the federal government of Nigeria. In addition, her English teacher deserves a reward similar to the one given to the coaching and technical team of the football and basketball players. We must continue to take education very seriously and reward the efforts of our citizens.
Interestingly, it is said that education is the passport to future development, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today through education and skills.
Finally, it is essential to always temember that education is the foundation upon which we build our future and the future of our country. Let's invite our daughter and the daughter of all Nigerians, along with her English teacher, to the presidency. What is good for the goose is good for the gander.

@ProfIsaPantami Sir, I sincerely hope and pray that this brilliant young girl gets the recognition she truly deserves from the government. Recently, some athletes who won competitions were rewarded with hefty sums in dollars, luxury duplexes and even national honors.
