Stop complaining about AI taking jobs
Every single generation had new technology that caused disruption in the market, this isn’t the first time
When the printing press was introduced, thousands of scribes lost their jobs
In the 20th century, 40% of Americans were working on farms and now fast forward less than a century later, it’s only 2% due to the introduction of machinery
Before the introduction of software, people used to make designs by hand and when Autocad came out, thousands lost their jobs
But what happened whilst all of this took place is that thousands of new jobs got created to replace the old ones
When the internet was introduced, businesses that didn’t adapt went bankrupt whilst the ones that did skyrocketed
AI isn’t replacing you, people that know how to use AI are
Stop complaining and start adapting.
Preparing to do the thing isn’t doing the thing
Scheduling time to do the thing isn’t doing the thing
Making a to do list for the thing isn’t doing the thing
Telling people you’re going to do the thing isn’t doing the thing
Hating on yourself for not doing the thing isn’t doing the thing
Fantasying about how others will adore you when you do the thing isn’t doing the thing
The only thing that is doing the thing, is doing the thing.
Closing a deal in one call gets progressively more difficult as you talk with more serious people
A business owner running a multi million dollar business isn’t going to commit to anything on a 30 minute call without having his team review every single detail
Don’t push for a one call close, instead aim to close one person inside the company and they will do the rest of the heavy lifting for you.
Most sales reps will peak for a couple of months and then fall off for the rest of the year
Focusing too much on the offer itself rather than diversifying your skillset and network will screw you in the long run
Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.
