AOC media strategy story is talked out for now, but this is an important part of it.
She can go to any forum she wants and make news. The ROI of doing popular videos with progressive media is obviously higher than an interview with legacy media where she'll get 12 Platner Qs.
Two things I particularly enjoy:
1) His utter contempt for Trump and his ilk is palpable, but it’s almost apolitical. It’s moral without being preachy. Tough needle to thread.
2) There is a seriousness here that is woefully missing in our politics today.
These creepy banners of Trump have been plastered around DC. His face is going on passports. Now some people want him on U.S. currency. It’s completely antithetical to the American project. It’s also just extremely embarrassing, weak behavior.
Legal immigrants are losing their jobs and their legal status not because THEY did anything wrong, but because the GOVERNMENT refuses to adjudicate the applications they paid for and filed. It should be a massive scandal.
Something to consider as Republican states look to redraw their maps following Callais: unlike in TX or NC or FL, where there will still be Dems in the delegation or statewide, these states are considering getting rid of all of their Dem voices. That could give some pause…
This is, in part, Byrd Rule-related, and in part because they only need 51 votes. Most importantly, it's another reminder of the consequences of expanding the set of activities addressed via reconciliation rather than the appropriations process.
Great example of the executive using absurd hyper-legalistic readings of congressional statutes to assert things that are not only contrary to the intent of Congress, but also plainly not true.
We have a new gold-standard assessment of AI usage by American firms courtesy of the @uscensusbureau Business Trends & Outlook Survey.
1/ AI adoption is fairly high IMHO. Almost 1 of 5 firms. But much lower than discourse on Twitter would lead you to expect.
It seems the White House may have uploaded that video unintentionally. It's now been made private.
But I downloaded it, so here's the full WH feed of the Easter lunch earlier today.
Trump does sound a bit more candid here than he does in front of reporters.
