@SumitM_X True. I have applied for Senior Go Developer post and getting calls for Java Dev post as well while I don't have any prior experience in Java.
Maybe they just need someone with knowledge of SOLID principles and clean architecture 😂
@SidJain_80 1. Go with indexing
2. When indexing started eating up resources then scale vertically.
3. When vertical scale is also not enough then add caching.
4. If there some operations can execute asynchronously, go with message queue.
More components -> Maintainance overhead
@_jaydeepkarale I would suggest to do this in batches of few thousand rows or a partition at a time.
Also would prefer the graveyard shift so won't affect the actual traffic.
@SumitM_X B is better option as it will have faster lookup than separate indexes.
Also same composite index will be used in the case where you need to fetch data just with user_id.
