As of Jul 2, I've repeatedly been chased & nearly bitten by unleashed dogs while bike-commuting the Hwy 87 path to @CityofSanJose Diridon Station. A hazard for cyclists & pedestrians. Please help w/ leash enforcement & outreach. @MattMahanSJ@sanjoseanimals@bikesv#SanJose
A week and a half ago I published a post: the AI capex boom rhymes with the 1990s fiber bust.
This week a video made the same argument — and it name-checks a number I remember well: WorldCom's "internet traffic doubles every 100 days."
This cycle: ~$725B in AI capex this year alone. Demand's propped up differently now — circular deals where the same dollar counts as revenue more than once on its way back to Nvidia. Same trick, new plumbing.
Frontier language models like GPT-5 may seem advanced, but our latest benchmark with extra-long-form corpus uncovers persistent misalignments from privacy breaches to self-harm risks. The “unit of jobs” might disappear in the age of AI. What comes next?
Before releasing our early results next week, we share a preview of why we’re optimistic at @Go_JulyAI - and how we’re preparing for the future of work.

The AI transition is coming - here's how I'm responding.
With warnings of mass job displacement due to AI, I've been deeply concerned about the future workforce our children’s generation will enter. As this transition looms, we must devote more attention, experimentation, and commitment to supporting the human side of this equation.
That’s why we started @Go_JulyAI in late 2024: Reinventing economic opportunity for humans in the AI era. We are lucky to have begun our journey with trusted investors and advisors including @BasisSet, @Liquid2V, @SVAngel, @capital_olive, Night Capital, and Applied Intuition CEO @Qasar just to name a few.
I’ve shared more about how we will accomplish our mission at July AI here: https://t.co/ZTNTirgbOO. I would love to hear your thoughts.
@CityofSanJose@MattMahanSJ@SanJosePD Homeless people are back on 87 bike path way, and this morning, while I was biking, unleashed dogs belong to homeless folks chased and tried to bite me for good one mile. SOMEONE will get hurt if this is not addressed.
has anyone experienced random duplicate emails being sent from @SendGrid ? last couple of weeks, our users have been complaining about getting duplicate emails, and looking at our codes, it's simply not possible. Trying to see if it was sendgrid-issue or not.
