I used to think patience meant waiting for a setup. It doesn't.

Patience means watching a setup form right in front of you, seeing everything line up, knowing it's valid, and still not taking it. Because it's not yours.

For years I couldn't tell the difference. If it looked like my setup, it was my setup. The structure was there. The level was there. The move was starting. Why would I not take it?

Because the timing wasn't right. It was outside my window. It was the right pattern at the wrong time. And a right pattern at the wrong time isn't an opportunity. It's a trap with a familiar face.

I spent weeks forcing trades like this. Setups that looked right but weren't mine. Every single one of them felt justified in the moment. Every single one of them bled my account slowly enough that I didn't notice the damage until I looked at the monthly numbers.

The data was clear. My best months had something in common: I took less. Not less risk. Less trades. The setups I skipped didn't hurt me. The setups I forced did. Every time.

But knowing that didn't stop me from wanting to take the next one that looked good. Because sitting out while the market moves is the most unnatural thing a trader can do. Everything in you says act. This is right here. It's moving. You're watching money happen without you.

The first time I watched a clean setup form outside my window, saw it play out exactly as I would have traded it, and didn't enter, I didn't feel FOMO.

I felt pride.

Not because I made money. Because I didn't need to. I proved to myself that I could watch an opportunity pass and not break. That the market could move without me and I'd still be here tomorrow. That my edge wasn't in catching everything. It was in only catching what's mine.

That feeling was worth more than the trade would have been.

Patience isn't waiting for action. Patience is choosing inaction when everything in you is screaming to move. And the traders who figure that out stop bleeding from the trades they never should have taken in the first place.

Stop behaving like an illiterate. There is a reason why most of the fraudsters in Nigeria are illiterates or poorly educated. Its their thing.

You are a tech person, you can make money from your craft and build the biggest FMCG distribution channel in your state. Be pragmatic and think well. think.

That 2 million that you are throwing on those gadgets and fine dining monthly, that 2 million can be your seed fund for the biggest hair and accessories line in your state or region
