[ Margin Notes ] The two words Beijing fears most: “I Quit”. A regime may fear missiles, sanctions and economic collapse. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) fears something even smaller: an ordinary person saying, “I quit.”
The Tuidang (Quit the CCP) movement, also known as the “Three Withdrawals,” encourages Chinese people to renounce the CCP, the Communist Youth League and the Young Pioneers.
The declarations are often brief, but the suffering behind them is immense. Rong Chen wrote of shame over once joining Party organizations and vowed that the next generation would not repeat the mistake. Zhou Yao described low wages, unbearable living conditions, official inaction and rampant corruption. Zhang Huimei said the pandemic years finally opened her eyes; after once dismissing Tuidang, she chose to withdraw from the League and Young Pioneers.
These are not abstract political slogans. They are the voices of people exhausted by deception, hardship and power without accountability.
In China, freedom can begin with just two words: “I quit.”

🚨 China Just Made "Maybe" a Crime. Now Everyone Is a Flight Risk.
Beijing has quietly redrawn the line between citizen and suspect, and it did it with a single word.
Under China's new Regulations on Exit and Entry Administration, effective September 15 but already being trialed at some ports, one term appears again and again: "may." Not "did." Not "will." May. If an official decides you "may endanger national security, interests, industrial security, or technical security," you can be barred from leaving the country. Nowhere does the text define what "may endanger" actually means.
That vagueness is the point. The power to stop you at the border has been pushed all the way down the chain, provincial governments, the Commerce Ministry, even county-level offices can now decide who flies and who stays. As geopolitics scholar Chen Wen-chia puts it: you're no longer flagged for what you did, but for what someone imagines you might do.
This is the machinery of a paranoid state, jumping at its own shadow. China has flipped its legal logic from punishing crimes after the fact to preventing exit before anything happens. State firms are reportedly already tightening travel approvals for staff. Those labeled a "threat" abroad can be blocked from leaving for six months to three years after they return.
Why now? Because the regime is scared. With the economy sagging and public anger simmering, Beijing fears its own people voting with their feet, and fears even more what they say when they come back. Engineers in semiconductors, AI, and finance should read the fine print: you may be next on the watchlist.
The message to 1.4 billion people is chillingly simple: the door is closing, and no one will tell you why. (Aric's note: Regarding China’s current population, some analyses and experts believe it is far smaller than the official figures claim, though the actual data remains unclear.)
If you're planning to leave China, understand the rules before they understand you.

🚨 OBAMA EXPOSED! President Trump posted this last night!
“This should shake every single American in their shoes. I hate to say this, but President Barack Obama, there is now incontrovertible evidence that he was the spearhead of a seditious conspiracy to subvert the will of the American people and overthrow the United States government back in 2016.
We must, absolutely must, hold every one of these criminals accountable for the crimes that they committed.
They are the most heinous crimes committed in American history.
James, James Comey, John Brennan, Clapper, Rice, Biden was in the meeting on July 28th in the Oval Office.
They briefed Barack Obama on Hillary Clinton's plan to, quote, tie Trump to Russia collusion lies. It consumed our national discourse for 5 years.
It undermined a sitting, duly elected president. It sabotaged administration. It framed a 3-star general.
It destroyed and ripped this country apart. We had a constitutional crisis, the likes of which I don't think any American can fully comprehend.
It is atrocious, and every single one of them must be held accountable.”

Breaking: Trump to Pardon Snowden – The Deep State’s Nightmare Begins!
It’s happening. President Donald J. Trump is preparing to issue a full and unconditional pardon for Edward Snowden. The man who sacrificed everything to expose the Deep State’s crimes is about to receive justice, and the corrupt establishment is PANICKING.
This isn’t just about Snowden. This is a direct hit on the intelligence agencies that have abused their power for decades. The surveillance empire they built to control YOU is about to be laid bare.
THE HERO WHO EXPOSED THEIR SPYING MACHINE
Snowden revealed what they hoped would stay buried forever: The NSA was illegally spying on every American. Phone calls, emails, private messages—all intercepted, all stored, all without a warrant.
This wasn’t about security. This was about CONTROL. A system designed to silence dissent and crush opposition.
When Snowden blew the whistle, he wasn’t just exposing illegal surveillance. He was revealing the Deep State’s playbook. He showed how Big Tech—Google, Apple, Facebook—sold out their users, feeding private data to the intelligence agencies.
And for that, they tried to DESTROY him.
THE DEEP STATE’S WORST FEAR: TRUMP & SNOWDEN TOGETHER
President Trump knows what Snowden exposed. He has felt the Deep State’s wrath firsthand. The fake Russia hoax. The endless witch hunts. The rigged election. The surveillance state wasn’t built to protect America—it was built to crush patriots like YOU.
Trump’s pardon of Snowden isn’t just justice—it’s a direct declaration of war against the Deep State. This will force America to confront the reality of a corrupt system that spies, manipulates, and censors.
WHAT A PARDON MEANS
EXPOSING THE DEEP STATE’S CRIMES – The government’s illegal surveillance programs will be laid bare.
HOLDING INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES ACCOUNTABLE – The FBI, CIA, and NSA will face the reckoning they deserve.
DESTROYING BIG TECH’S CREDIBILITY – The companies that helped spy on you will be exposed.
EMPOWERING WHISTLEBLOWERS – Patriots who reveal corruption will be PROTECTED, not persecuted.
THE DEEP STATE IS PANICKING
They fear this more than anything. They are already deploying their media puppets to smear Snowden and paint Trump’s pardon as “reckless.” They want you distracted, confused, and afraid. But it’s TOO LATE.
The TRUTH is spreading. The PEOPLE are waking up. And the Deep State’s control is slipping away.
TRUMP’S LEGACY: A PRESIDENT WHO FOUGHT FOR YOU
By pardoning Snowden, Trump cements his legacy as the greatest defender of the Constitution in modern history. He’s proving once again that he fights for YOU, not the corrupt elites.
This isn’t just about one man. This is about taking America back. The surveillance state will FALL. The Deep State will be EXPOSED. And freedom will rise again.

🚨 She Walked Into NATO's Headquarters, and Someone Was Watching Back
A Chinese-Canadian woman in her thirties, an AI specialist fluent in Mandarin and English, cleared the vetting and landed an internship inside SHAPE, NATO's supreme military command in Belgium. Then Belgian police arrested her. Prosecutors say she allegedly spied for a "third country" and belonged to a criminal organization. Investigators searched her home and her desk inside the alliance's nerve center.
Officials have pointedly refused to name the country. But reporting, and decades of pattern, point in one direction — Beijing.
Why does an intern matter? Because, investigators note, someone in that seat could hand a hostile state a goldmine: names and identities of personnel, internal security procedures, building floor plans, guard routes, even the location of surveillance cameras. And here's the part that should keep you up at night, her internship was approved. She cleared the checks. She walked in the front door.
If this alarms you, it should. And if the allegations hold, it isn't an anomaly. It's the pattern.
For decades the Chinese Communist Party has treated open societies as hunting grounds. Students, researchers, "interns," and dual nationals have been documented as quiet collectors, feeding sensitive information back to Beijing's intelligence machine. The West called it "engagement." The CCP called it opportunity, and walked through the doors we held open.
The scandal isn't that one case slipped through. It's that the system was built to be trusting, and a hostile authoritarian regime studied that trust and weaponized it, betting free nations would rather look away than offend Beijing.
That bet has paid off for far too long.
Every case like this is a warning we keep failing to heed. Until governments, lawmakers, and citizens treat CCP infiltration as the reality it is, the next intern is already on the way in.
The door is still open. Who's watching it?

🚨 The Structural Reality Behind the "500,000 Chinese Students" Discussion
President Trump told Sean Hannity on May 15 that it is "good" to have 500,000–600,000 Chinese students studying in the United States, learning American culture, and in many cases staying on with green cards. The policy discussion that follows deserves to be grounded in the documented record of how the PRC has used the student channel — because that record is extensive, court-tested, and ongoing.
Every student leaving the PRC to study abroad does so under a legal regime that imposes affirmative obligations to the state. Article 7 of China's 2017 National Intelligence Law is explicit: every Chinese citizen and organization "shall support, assist, and cooperate with national intelligence efforts." There is no opt-out clause. A Chinese graduate student in Boston or Ann Arbor who receives a request from the Ministry of State Security is not legally free to refuse. This is the structural backdrop that distinguishes PRC student flows from those of allied democracies.
The prosecution record is substantial:
— Camp Grayling, Michigan (2024): Five Chinese nationals studying at the University of Michigan through its joint program with Shanghai Jiao Tong University were charged with espionage-related offenses after photographing military equipment at Camp Grayling — at a time when the Michigan National Guard was hosting training for Taiwanese troops.
— Key West Naval Air Station (2020): Two Chinese graduate students at the University of Michigan pleaded guilty after illegally entering and photographing sensitive U.S. defense infrastructure.
— Ji Chaoqun (2023): A Chinese national who entered the U.S. on a student visa to study electrical engineering at the Illinois Institute of Technology was sentenced to eight years in federal prison after being convicted of acting as an agent of China's Ministry of State Security. He had been tasked with identifying Chinese-born U.S. engineers and scientists — most working for defense contractors — for potential MSS recruitment. He was returned to China in a November 2024 prisoner swap.
— Yanqing Ye (2020): A Boston University researcher who turned out to be a lieutenant in the People's Liberation Army. She concealed her PLA rank and CCP membership on her J-1 visa application, allegedly conducted research assignments for PLA handlers while at BU, and reportedly handed her university VPN credentials to a PLA colonel. She fled back to China before she could be arrested and remains at large.
— Thousand Talents Program: Multiple U.S. researchers — including Harvard's former Chemistry chair Charles Lieber — have been convicted in connection with hiding lucrative ties to PRC talent-recruitment programs explicitly designed to channel U.S. research back to China.
— Scale: Former FBI Director Christopher Wray testified that the Bureau was running approximately 1,000 active investigations into PRC-linked intellectual property theft, spanning all 56 field offices, with a new China-related counterintelligence case opened roughly every 10 hours.
This is not a fringe pattern. It is a state-directed program of systematic talent and technology acquisition in which student visas serve as one of the widest available gateways. Secretary of State Marco Rubio acknowledged the same structural problem in May 2025 when the State Department announced it would "aggressively revoke" visas for Chinese students tied to the CCP or sensitive fields, and impose enhanced scrutiny on future applications.
The financial argument made by universities — that the bottom 15% of U.S. colleges depend on Chinese tuition to remain solvent — is a real economic concern, but it operates on a different axis from national security. The counterintelligence cost of a 300,000-student expansion from a country whose intelligence law legally compels cooperation is not eliminated by the tuition revenue it produces; it is simply transferred onto the FBI, the universities themselves, and ultimately the U.S. research base.
Any expansion of PRC student inflows, if it proceeds, will need to be paired with vetting, sector restrictions (particularly in STEM areas tied to dual-use research), and ongoing post-arrival monitoring at a scale the current system is not built for.
The historical record is what it is. Policy that ignores it pays the price later.
I hope this was a courtesy line dropped after a tense Beijing summit, not a forthcoming executive order. Because the alternative — flooding sensitive U.S. campuses with another 300,000 nationals from a regime that legally compels them to spy when asked — would undo years of painstaking counterintelligence work and hand Beijing exactly the soft target it has been cultivating for two decades.

🚨 When the Water Comes Without Warning: China's Deadly Habit of "Flooding by Decree"
Today, floodwaters tore through Chunyang, in Jilin's Wangqing County, sweeping away cars, collapsing bridges, and drowning entire storefronts. State media says 3,000-plus were moved to safety. But residents filmed something the official script can't explain: torrents surging down dry streets under clear skies. No storm overhead. Just water, rising from nowhere. Hundreds of miles away, a reservoir discharge upstream on the Mudan River has swallowed villages across Ningan, Heilongjiang — bridges gone, livestock dead, casualties "unknown."
Unknown, because in China, the truth is a state secret.
This is not nature acting alone. It is a governance model. In 2023, more than 20 reservoirs around Beijing opened their gates at once and shoved the flood south into Zhuozhou, a city of 600,000 sacrificed to keep Xi Jinping's pet project, Xiongan, dry. Officials called it "flood diversion." Residents called it a betrayal: warnings that never came, or came too late to run.
The playbook repeats. After Henan's 2021 disaster, Beijing punished its own officials for hiding the real death toll. This month in Guangxi, survivors of a collapsed dam say the government's count of 39 dead should read in the hundreds, maybe a thousand.
The pattern is unmistakable: release the water first, warn the people last. Bury the bodies, then bury the numbers. Detain the citizen journalists who film what the cameras aren't supposed to see, and scrub the footage before dawn.
Every flood season, the Party asks the same question, whose homes are expendable to protect the map's important dots? The people downstream never get a vote. They get a knock on the door, if they're lucky. Usually, they just get the water.

🚨 Xi Told President Trump “Under No Circumstances.” Four Days Later, 400 Chinese Missiles Are Heading to Iran.
Four days after Donald Trump publicly reaffirmed Xi Jinping’s Beijing pledge that China would not, “under any circumstances,” give or sell weapons to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Reuters is reporting that Tehran is about to receive the first shipment of up to 400 Chinese-made shoulder-fired air-defence missile launchers. Xi delivered that pledge to President Trump in person at the May 14–15 Beijing summit, and President Trump said it explicitly covered Chinese companies.
Three sources familiar with the deal describe a contract worth $60 to $70 million, covering between 300 and 400 man-portable air defence systems, known as MANPADS (Man-Portable Air Defence Systems). The package includes the QW-12 and FN-16, infrared-guided surface-to-air missiles built to knock down the exact category of assets the United States and Israel have used to hit Iranian targets during the five-month war: low-flying aircraft, helicopters, and drones.
The contracting structure is the tell. According to the sources, the deal was signed with Zhongqing Baoshang International Investment, a Hong Kong-based company acting as intermediary between the Iranian side and the Chinese supplier. Hong Kong is not an accident of geography. It is the standard Beijing playbook for sanctioned military transfers: route the paperwork through an offshore corporate wrapper, and reserve the right to call any subsequent reporting “groundless.”
Beijing has already reached for that line. China’s Foreign Ministry told Reuters the report was “completely groundless” and repeated the claim that China “has consistently played a role in promoting peace and ending the conflict.”
The record no longer supports that claim. Iran needs to rearm after months of US and Israeli strikes on its missile, drone and air-defence programmes. Short-range MANPADS are precisely what Tehran needs to harden fixed sites against follow-on strikes — nuclear infrastructure, missile depots, energy nodes. Xi’s Beijing pledge was made with those strikes as the backdrop.
This is not a rogue Chinese exporter operating without state knowledge. Man-portable air defence systems require end-user certification, export licensing from Chinese authorities, and sign-off from suppliers tied to the People’s Liberation Army (PLA). A contract for 300 to 400 launchers routed through a Hong Kong intermediary does not clear those hurdles by accident.
Xi gave his word to a US president, on camera, in Beijing. His regime is already breaking it — and denying it in the same breath.
