Whenever I bought gold I got stressed when I thought about the math.
You walk in wanting to invest ₹50,000 in gold, and you immediately lose ₹8,000–12,000 to making charges before you've even left the store. Then there's the locker. Then the fear of it getting stolen.

This year I did something different.

I moved a portion of my gold allocation to Tether Gold (XAU₮) on Mudrex (@officialmudrex). No jeweller, no locker, no purity anxiety. Each token is backed by LBMA-certified physical gold, verifiable on-chain. I can check it. The math is clean.
The entry point was also just more rational , you're not forced into a lump sum. I started with a very low amount this year.

This was a cleaner trade for me.

Do your own research. But if you're a numbers person, run the actual cost comparison before you walk into that jewellery store this Akshaya Tritiya.
